Westminster National Golf Course

This course is a GREAT value for the price. Course is in terrific condition and has some really unique and funky holes which make things interesting. My only complaint is that there was no marshal to keep the pace of play moving along. We were in a two some and somehow were playing behind a group of 6 which was really slowing things down. I had played the day before and had issues with pace of play as well. This is my only complaint, otherwise it’s a great course.

Course was in very good shape. My game wasn’t but that’s the way it goes.

I had an ace on #12 so I am totally partisan about this course. However, course conditions were perfect. The greens are beyond perfect. And the staff was awesome. After the round we stopped in the pub for a pint and mentioned the ace. One of the staff offered, and delivered, by driving out to hole 12 and brought me back the flag to take home. That is above and beyond. Not a long course but some of the toughest greens you will ever approach and putt. As a plus handicap I thought I could dominate this course. Not the case. Total target golf from tee to green. Leave the driver in the car and test your short game. First time playing but will be back again and again. It was worth the 2 hour drive.

Bring your hiking shoes, you’re literally playing on mountains. Be ready for 45 degree lies on hills.

I play here often and for the price why not, $22 deal on golfnow. for 18 holes and a cart, although it's always affordable. The course is in awesome shape after COVID closure. That's so nice to see they maintained and probably gained from the closure. It's a short layout with lots of OB, some trouble on nearly every hole except #4 and #16. #5 is the toughest par 3 in the area. I was on in 1, but 3 putted from 25 feet.

Greens were faster than normal, and that green is a beast onto itself.. #9 and #18 are beautiful par 5's with a real chance for birdie, and double bogey with the pond in play and OB down one side the whole way. on both holes Great holes to finish your 9. Service there is always good and despite it being quite busy for a weekday afternoon, I played behind a twosome who finished up in 3:15 minutes. Also I did birdie 18, so I'll definitely be back!

The course condition was in excellent shape! No traffic jams. Smooth day!

The cart was not cleaned, I used my own wipes to clean it. It looked like someone was four wheeling with it.

This course is very beautiful. It's also challenging. I enjoyed the round and look forward to returning.

The course is in general in a very good shape, and the staff is still working to make a better course in landscaping. However we found that some people chatting in the club house didn't wear face masks, which did not follow the COVID-19 social requirement, even though the club personnel wore masks, who should probably remind people to follow the rules.

Westminster National is a great layout and a great value for your money. Challenging holes, and strategically placed hazards. You have to learn every shot and make the best of it. I always recommend Westminster National two friends and other golfers.

Course plays a bit longer than it looks. While landing spots are more than fair, they have to be hit to avoid trouble. Can't wait to play again later in the season. must be beautiful in the fall.

Played 18 holes with cart using a golfnow "Hot Deal", $14!!! Course is of course still in "winter rates & conditions" till the end of the March. So grass isn't growing yet. Conditions were surprisingly good. Greens were slow but very good. Did need to clean and place a few times. I was the first person off the tee that day and finished my round in 2 hours 15 minutes. The people working there are always great. I've played there 3-5 times a year for nearly 30 years. Course is short, but plenty of challenging holes. I suffered the dreaded snowman on the last hole (a GREAT last hole!) by going OB right, or I could have broke or tied my low score ever there, 81. Still shot 84 and I'm a 15 handicap.

Fun and challenging course. Walkers severely slowed pace of play for EVERYONE ( no marshal was present). Otherwise a wonderful round of golf.
