Service and pace of play sub par
Pace of play was excessive did not finish 18 holes in over 5hrs. Staff was very irritable. They did not tell us the greens where aerated. They did not have enough carts, had to share a cart. Course was challenging and the fairways are well kept.
Nice Course but Pace of Play is Brutal
The course itself is pretty nice. My buddies and I like the layout, and the conditions are generally good.
The pace of play is some of the worst I’ve ever experienced though. Last year especially, a few times we went, there were 4 or 5 groups backed up waiting to start, and we didn’t get out until well after our tee time. It can be tough to get into a rhythm when you are waiting 10 minutes between every shot.
Overall, nice course, but they need to work on the pace of play by spacing tee times out more, or having a ranger to enforce pace of problem groups.

Review
Overall, I, and several others playing your course rate it very highly. The one real negative is the pace of play. You could really use a ranger out there moving the pace of play. The two guys we played with yesterday were rightfully very upset with the group in front of us.

5:40 because a group of six was allowed - no marshal!
Love the layout and course is in great shape but won’t be going back for any weekend rounds

Always a great time
Acushnet has developed a reputation in the last few years of being one of the slowest courses to play in the area. The tee times are not spaced far enough apart. There is no course ranger. But today’s round was much improved.
Acushnet River Valley
Great course in great conditions. One problem though, we couldn’t finish 18 holes when we booked a tee time for 250. We arrived early and waited for 30 minutes, the backlog was terrible, two groups on a hole at a time and people waiting on the tee box with another group coming behind them. It should be easy to finish 18 holes with carts in under 5 hours but that’s not the case here. Until they fix their scheduling problem you should never book 18 holes after 2pm

I was happy with the players added to our round. Overall pleasant experience with the players and staff. Very nicely run course, little windy on the open back but just had an extra excuse for myself.

The layout and conditions are great. If you cant have a good time playing here, your missing the point of why we play.

I play this course fairly regularly and it doesn't dissapoint. A great course to walk and priced very reasonably. Course was in very good condition and weather was perfect -even though the back 9 had some significant winds.

This was my first time playing here and it was a great experience. The course was in great shape and was challenging at times.

Course was in great shape, pace of play was good for a Sunday.... price wasn’t bad... all in all a great day!
