Acushnet River Valley Golf Course

The staff are all exceptional, The course is good and green. The greens showed that they had recently been punched. They were bumpy and inconsistent. The course was busy. Play moved along well for seven holes before the group in front of us lost pace. Food at the turn was a good buy. We all had fun and will return again another time,

Played this course for the first time and I fell in love with it . The layout is all a golfer would want . Long par 5s. Nice dog leg holes . In great condition. Then the back 9 was the iceing on the cake , Linx style holes . Great surrounding views . All in very good condition. I wonder if they offer membership?

Last week, the pace of play was painfully slow, while this week, it was great. We really feel that you could use a ranger out on your golf course.

Overall, we really enjoy playing on your very well maintained course, with a nice variety pack of challenges, and the awesome change over from a woodlands-type course to links-type play.

Course ALWAYS in great shape !!!! Greens are always true....great staff !!! Great burgers, cold drafts !!!!! Always a fun day !!!!

The day did not start off well as when the starter asked me my tee time and i told him, he said no I had a different time.Now this is not the first time I have booked with Golf Now and had this issue at this venue. I then showed him my conformation on the phone and he had a different tune.

The course was in good shape and I love the layout other then the 12th tee location which is too close to the hitting area from 16 tee.

My biggest issue was pace of play, I knew we were in trouble on the 3rd hole when the group in front of us, already a hole behind was waiting for their 4th to hit his shot, And he is standing in the fairway talking on his phone, . It got no better.With a hole open in front of them they are standing on the tee just talking, never mind the fact they had zero business playing from the blue tees. It got to the point on the back nine that two groups were on a tee waiting on them and they did not wait for a single shot. From a playing standpoint it is a very enjoyable track

Pace of play was just under 4 hours for 18 holes. Conditions were immaculate. Highly recommend for the price.

Pace of play was excessive did not finish 18 holes in over 5hrs. Staff was very irritable. They did not tell us the greens where aerated. They did not have enough carts, had to share a cart. Course was challenging and the fairways are well kept.

The course itself is pretty nice. My buddies and I like the layout, and the conditions are generally good.

The pace of play is some of the worst I’ve ever experienced though. Last year especially, a few times we went, there were 4 or 5 groups backed up waiting to start, and we didn’t get out until well after our tee time. It can be tough to get into a rhythm when you are waiting 10 minutes between every shot.

Overall, nice course, but they need to work on the pace of play by spacing tee times out more, or having a ranger to enforce pace of problem groups.

Overall, I, and several others playing your course rate it very highly. The one real negative is the pace of play. You could really use a ranger out there moving the pace of play. The two guys we played with yesterday were rightfully very upset with the group in front of us.

Acushnet has developed a reputation in the last few years of being one of the slowest courses to play in the area. The tee times are not spaced far enough apart. There is no course ranger. But today’s round was much improved.

Great course in great conditions. One problem though, we couldn’t finish 18 holes when we booked a tee time for 250. We arrived early and waited for 30 minutes, the backlog was terrible, two groups on a hole at a time and people waiting on the tee box with another group coming behind them. It should be easy to finish 18 holes with carts in under 5 hours but that’s not the case here. Until they fix their scheduling problem you should never book 18 holes after 2pm

I was happy with the players added to our round. Overall pleasant experience with the players and staff. Very nicely run course, little windy on the open back but just had an extra excuse for myself.
