Great course. Scenic, excellent conditions, tee to green. Course has a lot of character and variety. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. Looking forward to playing there again.
Dangerous layout
Nice clubhouse. Course has a dangerous layout with hole after hole having blind shots and one hole has you driving the ball across a street to get to the fairway. I can't imagine driving my car in front of someone on the tee driving the ball. The undulating hills on every fairway and even the greens were impossible. It was one of the worst golf experiences for me. Pace of play was horrible. When bringing pace concern to the ranger, the response was, 'yeah, it'a holiday weekend' and they drove away. They could have cared less. Maybe pacing start times by 10 minutes instead of 8 minutes would make for a much more enjoyable round for everyone. The next day (memorial day) they spaced tee times by 10 minutes, and it was a wonderful experience on an even busier day and course.
Great course
Great course good amenities, fairways were punched. Greens are hard, haven’t been punched as far as I could tell. Nice hole setups.
Worth the drive
This is a really nice track with elevation changes, blind shot, and very nice greens. Being able to see the car in front of you on the GPS on the blind holes is a great help. Everybody had lunch in the bar after the round all the food was great and very reasonably priced. we will definitely go back again.
Short but challenging and fun
Shorter course (6200 yards par 70) but with plenty of blind shots, it's not exactly easy. The blind shots aren't gimmicky either, just makes you think a bit harder. Which always makes for good golf.
Greens were rolling to a 10.5, all manicured to perfection. A couple tiered greens and turtle shells made sure it wasn't too easy.
Perfectly maintained - top notch for a public course. One of my favorite places to play in Southeast MA.
Great course
Always a great course. Work they did this winter to clear out the edges of the course should improve pace of play. Clubhouse is great. The pro shop staff is great.
Highly recommend
The entire staff was super friendly. Course was in great shape. No hold ups as far as pace of play. Bog Tavern is a nice option afterwards and overall it was a great experience. Greens are tiered and a good test
Fun track
Super friendly staff. Course was in great condition in the spring. Tiered greens and tight pin locations made it a challenge. Fun layout. Great value.
Course is challenging but fun.
Course was in great shape for early in the season.
Brookside
Play it often, they continue to aerate late fall using big holes that don’t heal up till May. Considering the course is open year round it’s a problem
Spring golf in Massachusetts
Great day weather wise for those who’ve never played there it’s a tough course to keep ones patience and sanity it plays extreme left, right, up and down fairways with blind greens but also has a mix of rewarding holes summer golf here is like none other with breathtaking views of the cape cod canal and buzzards bay with a slight breeze to keep you just cool enough try it you won’t be disappointed
Brookside. - A fair test of golf on Cape Cod
Brookside Golf Club is a fair and fun course to play on Cape Cod. It has short holes, long holes, and holes you have to think your way through. The course conditions were pretty good for this early in the season (late March). The greens rolled pretty good. Chris, the head Pro is excellent. He runs a good operation. There are several tight holes where you need to put your tee shot in the right place to go for the green. I’m not a long hitter but I find Brookside is very playable if I can find the fairway. I recommend this course to anyone headed to Cape COD.
