Awesome conditions given it’s the middle of January!
Initially, I was booked to play Jan 21st. I was very appreciative of the fact that the proshop called to cancel early in the day of - so I inadvertently didn’t drive to the course only to be disappointed. I re-booked for Jan 22nd when conditions were great… they do winter NE golf right here. Pins are rotated between two holes. Fairways were reasonably dry with good quality turf. Goose poop was the only undesirable feature in some places - though I do like the wild life on the course including the geese. $35 green fees seemed a fair price to be able to play in January. Despite the course being full, the pace of play was reasonable (4 hour round).
Tough but fair
A tough but fair course with some very challenging holes, especially on the back nine.
Best Winter Golf
OSL is an excellent course if you want to play off season. Great shape, layout, greens open, and priced right.. love it

Nice round of golf in December! It's one of the few good courses open at that time of year.
Was a bit put off by their gate closure time of 4:00 pm We had to cut our round short to get there by 4:00 pm.
Last round of 2022
It was only 31 degrees when we teed off. Used a screwdriver to make a hole for the tee. But what a wonderful day. We joined two other crazies and enjoyed it immensely. Much of the course was frozen, but we were able to hit the ball off the fairway and rough without problems. Greens were actually very fair, except for being so hard the ball would bounce pretty high off you landed a wedge directly on them. So we learned to play hit and run it up to the hole, We both scored some of our best of the year!. Conditions when i played in October were excellent—fair today because of the freeze.
Great Winter Golf
Old Scotty is in great shape for late December golf. The fescue doesn’t have much bite this time of year and it is walking only but who cares, you get to chase the little ball around for several hours without much congestion to slow you down. Enjoy it before it snows!
Simply Awesome
Despite recent rain and snow, the course was in great shape! Great layout! Great pace of place! Not many amenities this time of year, but golf in late December in New England is a bonus. At $38 it was a great value. Good walking course!
