Beautiful Course
I really enjoyed this course. Front nine lives up to the links name. You can't just grip it and rip it on the tee. You have to be strategic. The back nine felt like a whole new course going through the woods. Not sure how the course has been over the years but it was in great shape when I played. Staff was super friendly. Definitely coming back.
Fun course
I always enjoy playing OSL. The greens are always nice. $57 to walk on a Sunday morning. I will be back again soon.
Disappointing
I’ve played this course multiple times a year for as long as I can remember. The Greens were aerated. It’s frigging June 11 and the greens were horrible. What’s with no Senior discount on weekends? The cart/beer girl was friendly but I didn’t see her at all on the back 9.
Greens were rough and slow
They aerated the greens 11 days before our tee time, and they were still very rough. No enough sand was applied to fill the holes to promote growth, so they were still very bumpy and slow. Not the conditions we experienced here in the past.

Watch your head
Overall course is fine, nothing spectacular or exceptionally interesting about the design. Several of the holes on the front nine are legitimately on top of one another, so you will frequently have balls from other holes flying over your head or landing next to you (subsequently followed by players from other holes constantly driving into your hole to find their shots). The length of the rough is quite low comparatively to most courses, so missing the fairways is not penal in the slightest.
Bizarrely, this course maintenance staff decided to wait until Memorial Day weekend to aerate the greens which is the latest into the season I have ever experienced aeration and it significantly decreased the enjoyment of the experience, as one might imagine. Every green was a sandbox, predictably, and putting was largely a waste of time. My home course (and every other course I’ve ever played in New England) typically aerates in mid-April at the latest, so this was unfortunate.
Otherwise, the staff are exceptionally friendly and the general public would likely be happy to play here most times of the year, I would just suggest the maintenance staff consider aerating their course earlier in the season.

Great value
Course is very playable for older golfers who can walk and enjoy a great value for the money
Good course
Good. Course only complaint no drinking water on course very hot day
Solid choice.
Distinctive layout in very good condition. A few weird/blind shots but overall playable and challenging. Greens and tee boxes in good shape. Adding this place to our group’s rota.
Unfortunately, the 19th hole is cramped and uncomfortable.
Olde Scotland, Bridgewater
The course is in the excellent condition and the pace of play was also excellent. You cannot beat the cost to play if you are a Senior ands Resident of Bridgewater.
