Great conditions, fun track without too much treachery
Olde Scotland Links
We recently moved to this area after 15 years in Hawaii. We have played golf in three continents and have been members at two, very beautiful private clubs
Now, we are retired! Olde Scotland Links is everything that my wife and I need in a golf course. VERY easy to walk, long enough to challenge you from the Blue tees, five sets of tees and the greens are fantastic! Bunkers are in good condition with good sand, enough water to cause concern, and it IS a “Links course”. Wind, especially in the Spring, will challenge you.
It is a town-owned facility. Rates, even with carts, are reasonable. Don’t expect private course conditions in turf coverage and cart paths are ‘bumpy’. But, it is a lot of fun.
In summary, go play somewhere else; I want the course all to myself!

Great walking course for someone in their late 60’s who is reasonably decent condition.
The course features some fun holes, fairly challenging, but not overly so. Great value,
Good public track
I showed up an hour early to my t-time so I could hit range balls, but the range ball machine wasn’t working. Going back in the clubhouse and then waited by the range ball machine until a staff member assisted me. You have to walk down the street to hit the range so I did that and then came to the first tee about 5 to 10 minutes before my t-time. The starter shouted for me as soon as he could see me and asked me what my t-time was. I told him 1250 it was 1243. He’s scolded me and said to show up 15 min prior to my time and that the other two he paired us with already teed off. I quickly hit (poorly-rushed) and moved on.
From here it was an enjoyable experience, as I appreciate links golf. You can miss your own fairway and still save par. You have a long walk from hole 11 to hole 12 across the street but ofher than that great layout and easy to walk.
