just love to play here
ths course is nice to play and a all time favorite.
Always a good course
Great layout. Fairways are mostly generous. Always look forward to playing this course. HOWEVER, we were NOT warned that the greens were recently aerated. There was sand and holes on every green but the plugs were not filled and the greens were not swept. It greatly detracted from the experience. Would I go again? Yes, but I will directly ask about the greens.
Interesting course with challenging greens
I have played Old Scotland several times so far this year and I have always enjoyed it. One of very few facilities in the greater Boston area that is open year round. Well maintained, with greens recently aereated (late April) which can be frustrating when that four-foot put just won‘t go in. Fairways are wide and forgiving, whereas the greens can be quite challenging with plenty of slopes and bunkers or water hazards nearby. Club house is quite nice and has a bar and outdoor seating. Good value for money and cart is recommended if you are going to play 18 holes.
Always Wonderful
Play here fairly regularly and always walk and carry. The course is challenging but it's all in front of you. No tricks, or fake course setups to make it harder. Holds water well and is always in great shape. The people who work the course, starters and pro shop are all very friendly.
Links style
Hard to find a links style course in New England. Fun
Great track, they do it right
Course for April was great, rough sTill a bit patchy, greens slightly slow but that’s how it should be this time of year.
Played early as a single and was not held up by the three some in front of me at all.
Was a great morning nine holes, keep fixing our p it ch marks people’s :)
March Golf
Course was in good shape considering time of year. Pace of play very slow due to many golfers on a warm day
Still winter
Course was brown and firm on an early spring day (60 degrees). Tees way back and pins on the edges of the "greens" were impossible to get to. One par 3 had temporary tee and green. Gotta do something about those geese.... But, for $30, not bad for winter conditions.
