Mismanaged and Rude
Booked 18 holes with carts for 4 golfers, paid at the check in and we’re informed that there were no carts or pull carts available.
I asked for a refund and was informed that my only options were to play or leave.
The staff was rude and did not try to make amends and offer any sort of refund or option to play another future date.
The course was overbooked and the course clearly needs to do a better job at managing their bookings to avoid these issues in the future.
We eventually decided to walk and try to play. It was an 85 degree day and there was no water available on the course. Golfers were visibly dehydrated and many quitting early due to these conditions. The clubhouse needs to do a better job making water available in these kinds of conditions if they’re going to have golfers walk the course.
I will not recommend this course to anyone.
Always a great time
This place is the best place around for an average player or a beginner. It’s always in great shape, the staff is always the friendliest people ever, and even though it’s a muni that gets a ton of play, it always moves relatively quick. I live in Quincy and this is the course I play most often by far even though it’s not at all the closest. Check it out if you haven’t yet, you won’t regret it!
Great Conditions/ Slow Pace
Great Conditions/ Slow Pace. Never saw a ranger. Course was great, Will play again.
Fun Back-9
We were able to get on a few minutes before our scheduled time. We played the back-9 after the starter advised us that we would enjoy that for our first time at the course. The greens were in great condition. It would take a few times playing the course to understand the correct angles on some of the dogleg holes. Water is present, but it doesn't really come into play. The par-5 holes are reachable in two and the par-3 holes are long -- I wouldn't be surprised if this impacted pace of play on a busy day. Overall a fun and easy walk and great value.
A well maintained course that appeals to everyone
I have played Ridder half a dozen times, and I have enjoyed it every time. It is not a long course but the par 5's are a challenge as well as the par 3's.
It allows you to use every club in your bag. The day I played it the greens were very fast.
If you want to work on your short game or all parts of your game really give Ridder Farms a try.....
Great Experience!
First time playing here, ran into some traffic and told the pro shop so they could work around us.
The woman could not have been nicer. Her and the starter were both very accommodating!
Course was in great shape for early May.
Slow foursome in front that took a while for them to let us to play through but that’s ok!
Carts were a little steep at $20 a person... $40 per twosome for a cart is a little much
Great visit, thank you! We will definitely return to play again
Solid
Solid course. Nice greens. Nice fairways. Sand traps need a lil work, but hey, just don’t hit it there and you won’t have to worry about it.
