I don’t know if ten is the signature hole at St. Anne, but it’s good enough to fill that role. It also sports a nice view from the green. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 10/14/2024

The par-5 16th, late afternoon. A great many golf courses essentially look green, greener, and greenest. This is seldom true, however, of New England layouts in mid-October. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 10/14/2024

Eighteen, a long and tough finishing hole, doglegs left off the tee. Later it swerves back right and uphill to a well-defended green. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 10/14/2024

Don’t hit too far down the seventh fairway—crossed by a meddlesome brook. But do enjoy the views. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 09/21/2020

Nice course, not an ideal experience
We enjoyed the actual golf for the most part but things began on a sour note. Upon checking in, the guy in the pro shop decided to tell me he was just about to pull that tee time from GolfNow (and presumably TeeOff, which is where I found it) before we booked it about an hour beforehand, and even made a point of telling me that they don't make any money from those GolfNow tee times. So sorry, was it my fault the website was showing a cheap tee time? I felt like I was being accused of ripping them off or taking advantage of them somehow, that I was worth less to them because I had the nerve to book a time THAT THEY HAD MADE AVAILABLE. Whatever, I didn't say anything to him but probably should have. It looked like a large outing had just finished as there were plenty of carts but none of them had been cleaned/cleared of trash. I asked one of the workers moving the carts around which one I should take and they just told me to grab any cart. There literally wasn't a cart without bottles, cans, and other trash still on it so I cleaned one off myself and we got going. We parked alongside the white tees for #1 on the lower path (there is also an upper path that comes from the parking lot). A single had just teed off and I was making my way up the hill to the tee box when a couple zoomed right past the white tees (on the upper path, presumably coming from the parking lot) and went straight to the gold/red tees and proceeded to tee off in front of us. It was too hot to put up a fuss so we just let it go. When we finished the first hole and were headed for the second tee, we noticed a group of SEVEN golfers teeing off on 4. Ok, maybe they didn't indicate at check-in that they would all be playing together, but no one from the course ever came out to correct this either. It wasn't our job to tell them to break it up. We were eventually able to play through and finished the round without further incident. The course is in nice shape but the rest of the experience needs work. Usually play here a few times a year (and not always with the cheap rate) but we may not be coming back (and from the vibe I got from rude guy in the pro shop we won't be missed). Maybe you'll be treated better if you pay full price.
A little slow but that’s due to people playing bad and slow
Course was in good shape except a few t boxes like #2 was a sandbox to tee off from
Terrible Conditions
Course was in terrible condition, temporary tee boxes were put in dirt patches and completely uneven, had better lies off the tee box than on it. There was no mention of temporary tees anywhere, would never have booked if I knew it was going to be in that bad of shape. Greens were extremely slow and hairy, which is expected this early in the year but not THAT bad, they were covered in pitch marks as well. Good hot dogs tho.

Greens
The course was in pretty good shape the only thing was that there were some greens that had some small debri. I think a maintenance person should have been sent out and blown the debri from the greens, otherwise everything was good.
Unusual Payment Method
Do not like that you have to pay for two when you reserve your tee time for yourself .
Fun on a winter day!
Good value at $30 for winter golf. Let you take carts on the course. Being winter the grass isn't growing but course still in good shape although not like summer. Never my favorite track but this time of year I'm glad it's open. Certainly beats sitting around the house! Hopefully we get a few more nice weather days to get out!
Great Course
St Annes is a great course, love playing here. The Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Course is tough but fair.
It’s in excellent shape especially the greens . Restaurant bar is top notch also. I try to play here as much as I can. I drove 2.5 hrs to play

The Greens Were Great!
Good Morning!
First offf let me say the young lady working in the pro shop was so pleasant and with a great smile. It took me less than one minute to receice me cart key and was told to have a geat morning. With all the rain we have received throughout the year, this course was great. A few tee boxes were in need of work, but they were roped off. Overall my wife and I had a geat time. The fairways looked great but the grass length was a bit high. It was difficult to find your ball in the fairways.

On course golf etiquette
I've played St. Anne's on and off for 27 years . I play to a 13 handicap and always consider on course players to subscribe to the unwritten rules of golf behavior . While following a slow twosome , i met them on #3 . The male player was blaring Aerosmith from some device within his cart . Immediately i skipped over to #5 , and played it w/ an approach shot ,2putted and moved along to #6 . Having parred out at #9 i looked at #10 tee box to see 2- 4somes waiting . Ah man , the back 9 appeared to be a " slog " . Normally i would have left but i decided to skip ahead to #11 where i met a very polite 26 yr old named Mike . He invited me to finish the back 9 . #14 is a short par 4 so an attentive golfer waits for the green to clear .While stepping onto the tee box the female 4some behind us pushed at me while saying i should have hit while players were exiting the green . The women were very rude , bullying and so unattentive to the rule of "course courtesy " that i mentioned i'd certainly never play with the likes of them anywhere , let alone a private track where they'd be black balled for their behavior ! After they hit into us on #18 , i turned to them and loudly said to leave us alone and play the game with decent behavior . I will not return to St. Anne's until players like those women are sequestered to a block of tee times affecting no one who wants to truly enjoy a round of the ancient game .
