Golfers standing on the Ranch’s first tee might feel, for a second, that they’re on a links course. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 10/19/2021

The seventh green. This hole is typical of the par-4’s here: fairly long and definitely challenging. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 10/19/2021
-
The ninth, par-5, 540. “Glacier,” as this hole is dubbed, plays straight downhill. And a bad drive may lead to a “meltdown.” Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 10/19/2021

Sixteen, par-5, 618. Another dramatic downhiller named “Ski Hill,” which certainly suggests the thrill of playing it. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 10/19/2021

The 18th: par-4, 438. A fitting closer, but also a hole that captures the beauty of New England golf at its finest. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 10/19/2021

Pretty fun course but poor service
The course was pretty cool and conditions were pretty nice although a lot of the greens were patchy and very slow compared to what we expected them to be. Additionally, there was no beverage cart out on a Saturday 11 am tee time which, although not necessary, was kind of a let down. However they do have a half way house with reasonably priced food but a Bev cart driving around would have been nice as well. The biggest complaint I have is there is supposed to be range balls complementary to your round. However, when we got to the range the bins were empty. We went and asked the pro shop and they said someone was out there picking the range (the range picker was parked right next to the range tee). I ended up walking out on to the range to grab a handful of balls to try and get some form of a warm up.
Nice to return
Early in the year, but I've seen better conditions
Always an experience...
Beautiful course in great condition. Rolling fairways, always challenging, using every club in the bag. Very scenic course with amazing views with strategic view points, friendly staff, and amenities. If never played, this course must be in your bucket list, you will not be disappointed...depending upon where you are coming from, it's a scenic drive as well. Takes me an hour and twenty minutes to get there but worth the trip and every penny to play...
Greens need attention
Played my first round there this year. I was very disappointed in the conditions of many of the greens. The holes from their late fall aeration were still very noticeable which caused a bumpy ball roll. They also must have had some kind of winter ice burn which left many greens with bare patches. Hopefully they will remedy this condition soon.
Birthday Indulgence
The course is pretty awesome! The starters were very friendly. Beautiful views and meticulously kept fairways and greens. The rough here is no joke! We unfortunately had a slow group in front of us. (5 hours) One of the guys was dragging his feet and scuffed up every single green ahead of us. It was actually pretty bad. I think he was wearing metal spikes from 1973! This took away from the experience unfortunately. I will definitely be back though!
Gorgeous Views and a tough course
Wow!! The views are amazing and the golf holes are a work of art.
There are many extreme lies. Mainly, the very steep and hilly terrain has some big up and downhill holes.
Bring your best game AND do not play the back tees unless you are scratch or better (you're not, so just don't).
There was a group of awful golfers playing in front of us and from the tips... caused an over 5 hour round.
Amazing day on a wonderful course
We played in the Irish Open golf tournament today at The Ranch, and the experience was truly outstanding. The course was in incredible condition—lush, well-maintained, and a pleasure to play on. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the friendly and attentive staff, which set the tone for a fantastic day. The food was delicious, perfectly complementing the overall experience. The level of professionalism demonstrated throughout the event was impressive and made the tournament all the more enjoyable. Highly recommend The Ranch for anyone looking for a top-notch golfing experience!
All around Excellent Course!
The staff was great from the moment I arrived. I was paired with two members that were extremely helpful and gave me tips as this was my first round at The Ranch. Well worth the 45 minute drive and greens fees. Pace of play and course conditions were top tier for a public course.
The ranch never disappoints
Staff always super friendly. Got a hot deal to play Monday morning. Beautiful day. Course was in great shape. Always a challenging little track but fun layout. Greens rolled true. Plus was able to put up my best round of the year. Will definitely be back to this course.
Unique golf experience
The Ranch is an interesting layout on a very steep property. We played the White (senior) tees and had a very enjoyable round. Multiple holes offer risk/reward opportunities. The day we played, the greens were still recovering from aeration two weeks earlier. The greens were fast but still a bit bumpy. The fairways and tee boxes are in great condition. We received an alert that a bear was in the vicinity but we never encountered it. Overall, we had a great day.
If God Played Golf
He would be a member here because the course is pristine and the layout is phenomenal. Also the after round food is out of this world.
Much improved!
Great experience playing the ranch yesterday!
Most impressive was the pace of play fixes. And the holes with blind T-shots they have a red light green light technology system makes it easy to know when it’s OK to hit. They also had rangers on several holes, letting us know when we are clear.
There’s also a new snack shack right after the sixth hole with hotdogs, sausages, and all the drinks and alcohol you wish, even ice cream. This is a big fix because at the turn usually had to go into the restaurant to get something which would slow everything down.
Course conditions were terrific! The outside ops people when you arrive are nice touch. They’ll bring a car to you or take your bag and set you up. I always tip these people.
Great staff worth the price. Would play again
Upon arrival we were greeted and bags removed from car. Wasn’t expecting that. Free range balls. Staff was amazing throughout the round. After we hit the restaurant and the service and food were amazing in there too.
Challenging but great course
Played a twilight 18. Great course from maintenance to staff. Would play again.
