First time playing the course. Will definitely play again.
It was a beautiful Sunday to o play my first round at Waverly Woods. I was by myself and ended up paired with another single and a pair. All turned out to be fairly close in ability. We finished 18 in just under 4-1/2 hours. There was virtually no waiting and no push from the group behind us. Carts are equipped with GPS devices that, among other things, keep track of the pace of play and location of the cart on the course. Greens had been aerated during the week but were in decent shape for my game. I was in one trap and found the sand to be pretty well compacted which wasn’t ideal. The starter warned us to use a colored ball when teeing off on 10 because of its proximity to the driving range. That turned out to be good advice. But 11 also abutted the end of the range which is a bit of a pain. All in, I enjoyed the course, found it plenty challenging and will definitely play there again.

I very rarely leave reviews but I wanted to tell you about an absolutely fantastic day we had at your course this weekend. We played Sunday in the perfect weather. Your course is excellent, your staff members were friendly, and the food and drink was top notch. The older gentleman who checked us in could be described as happy-go-lucky, and Alex was a joy after the round. The course was understandably packed, but we made pretty good time. Following the round, we had drinks and light fare on your patio area out back. Overall, my group had a really lovely Sunday playing your course, and we'll try to get back before the scorch of Summer.

Very Nice course
Waverly Woods was in very good shape. The people working at the course are outstanding. from the check in to the course marshal, to the girls selling food at the restaurant. Everybody was friendly. The only knock on this course is the price. Play the course if you can get a deal on GOLFNOW or something.

Staff was friendly as well as helpful. Nice practice areas for putting or chipping and a driving range. Loved the course layout, but it is not an easy layout haha. Greens are quick but rolled true for me. I believe my video is from the 16th tee box. Maybe 15th?

I feel like being the pristine course in Howard county that we wouldn’t be rushed to keep up pace of play or be asked to skip holes when you are paying weekend money on a weekday. Our pace of play was not slow at all but we kept getting sent messages to hurry up or skip holes all together. It was very annoying and classless.

In this instance - our Player Assistant had asked your group to pass a hole following pace-of-play messages and a visit to your group. With two holes open in front on busy day, and groups behind you, your group had fallen about 20 minutes behind the designated pace of play. On a day with all tee times booked, unfortunately this will lead to 5+ hour rounds.
We simply ask all groups to keep up with the group in front of them for the benefit of all groups behind them.
