A typical green on the back nine (Sep 2022) Photo submitted by u314160008154 on 10/01/2022
Greens are literally un-puttable
Does this course even have a greenskeeper? I’m not exaggerating when I say that you legitimately can’t putt or chip on these greens - they are covered in potholes and patches of sand/gravel and have been that way for multiple years now. You’re better off just picking up your ball and moving on. Fairways are rock hard. The tee boxes are also in horrendous condition and covered in weeds and lumps. The layout isn’t bad so this could actually be a solid course if they kept it in even decent condition. I would say its only worth playing the twilight for $12 to get some practice holes in (minus the putting). Do not book a full 18 here though you will be disappointed.
Cheap municipal course is a great location.
The course is not in great shape, but it’s cheap, easy to get to and everyone is super friendly. If you just want to get some swings in, it’s cheap and not stuffy.
This place is a goat farm
Worst conditions ive ever see !!!
Greens were either provisional or mostly
Dirt with a few patches of green stuff i wouldnt exactly call grass.
If you go there you will be disappointed.
Unless you like terrible conditions?
Warning to all golfers, you will want your money back whatever you do
This course, if you can call it, that is the nastiest place I have ever seen. The greens were mostly sand with aerated patches of occasional grass. There is no markings on the course for distances. The tea boxes are mostly dirt. The Fairways were 2 1/2 inch high weeds, I found it completely unplayable. There were rocks and sticks and trash screw out about the course. No effort whatsoever appeared to be made in the maintenance of this course. Meanwhile, I was charged US dollars to play this course. I feel like Golf now should end there affiliation with this course and should refund me , the money I paid to not play this course the manager for this course should be ashamed of themselves for asking people for money to play here. A person would be better off to find a cow pasture put a stick in the ground as a flag and play it that , call now and the managers of this course have truly insulted me in my intelligence shame on you both. I have pictures. Should anybody wish me to share them with you?
Sincerely
Joseph Currier
greens are in rough shape
one temporary green, and bare patches on others. i understand that they’ll be working on them shortly. for the price it’s fine.
the rough is fairly long also!
“Greens” is a misnomer
Still a head scratching dump BUT at least it was going quickly. Good way to get in a 90 min 9 holes
Potential
Very clearly does not have enough funding. Has potential to be a great course. Putting is a joke. Not one green was maintained. Good course to get some practice in. Putting was comical at best. If you go in with terrible expectations it’s not bad.
Disappointing
The fairways are virtually unkempt with some bare patches and mostly long uncut grass resulting in
losing balls on the fairways because hidden in the long grass!
Most of the greens are unplayable and virtually non-existent as some are makeshift on areas of the fairways.
Greens concern
We list balls on the fairways due to poor maintenance - grass on fairways to long - unmowed.
.
Most of the greens unplayable - v poor condition and some were not even greens but part of the fairway!.
Could be great
Nice setting good layout for some reason they aerated the greens now seems late in the year unless we have rain I doubt they will come back .
18 greens of sand
Upon booking the tee time there was no mention that every green was under construction. There were several “winter greens”. Meaning greens that were fairway/rough. The greens were just basically sand and the sand was not compacted. Golfing here is not golfing.
It’s walking on grass and hitting a ball to a flag. My playing partner said that he had never seen a course like this one. This is the opposite of a compliment.
I sense they are trying here but it seems misguided. Close the course and rehabilitate the greens. I don’t see this happening. Also, there are no amenities here and the range balls are circa 2004. Rough to say the least. This is a state run course that should not be in the golf business.
Keep it in short grass!
Good luck!
Horrible conditions
There was not a greed that was completely green. More sand than anything. One hole literally had to w green cut out of th me fairway because the green itself was so bad.
