Worst course conditions I have ever played. Sometimes I hit in the fairway but there were not grass at all, was like a dry swamp

My friend set up a tee time to play in the morning. Called the course to confirm it was open. Voicemail said we’re open today. We got there, walked into the shop and was told the course was closed. After playing the voicemail to the employee, he said 90% of the year that voicemail is accurate and it’s not worth changing when they are closed. He went on to smugly say that they’ll contact their IT department. Terrible customer service. Set up a tee time and drove right over to William Devine (great course).

4th of July weekend it rains so before I drive down from the NorthShore I call to make sure the club is open. Voicemail comes on, “ Norwood country club is open, all 18 holes and driving range”.

When I get there, holes are underwater and they won’t let us on the course. I bring up the voicemail, and the bartender says we can’t change the voicemail just for one or two days.

Don’t see why they wouldn’t just remove the fact that the course was open from the voicemail. Then you’d have to speak To someone in person to confirm either way. Not at all helpful.

Smug kid said, “I’ll pass that on to our IT department”

Course is nothing but clover and dandelions with bare spots and dead spot everywhere. Total trash.

We booked for 18 holes. We were only able to play 9 holes. Starter offered us an unsolicited rain check for nine holes.

That kind gesture will bring us back for another round.

Couldn’t find one thing to like and I am easy going. Course was in poor shape, staff unfriendly. $28 for one cart on a weekday is legit robbery.

Expensive for what the course is. Weekend golf is way too crowded. Course is very narrow and slightly dangerous as shots from other fairways are always coming near you.

Worse course I ever played. Played it a few times over th years and it has got in worse shape each year we played it. Will never darken th door of th place again. 60 bucks with a cart they should be in jail for even asking for it

Drove 45 down from Boston just to find out they had closed down for the day because of light drizzle. No messages sent out, no nothing. Happy they offered full refunds but a huge waste of time. Not happy.

Good challenging layout despite lack of length. Lots of trouble off tees. Greens hard and fast. Wet and patchy especially on front 9.

Thought I’d be able to get 9 in at 3 pm on a Friday but instead it took 3 hours to finish 9. I get it, first beautiful day in 2021 but we coulda moved it along a little more. You’d play a hole than wait 5 mins for the next hole to be somewhat safe to play. Oh well, worth it for the cost alone but wish I could fit in 9 before the kid gets out of daycare ya know.
