Cedar Chase Golf Club

I've been fortunate enough to play Cedar Chase quite a few times and having played all around the state, I can honestly say this is one of the best courses in Michigan. From the great course design, great conditions, and a super friendly staff, you will find no better golf experience around. It's a golf course that will make you use all 14 clubs. The back 9 is one of the toughest tests you will find. It's well worth the visit!

I've played this course multiple times. Just a trot from GR. Makes me feel like I'm in northern Michigan with gorgeous wildlife (can't play this course without seeing a turkey or deer). Challenges every aspect of your game. The staff here are great because they understand how to group golfers and manage pace of play. All while keeping the course in tip top condition.

Course itself was a decent layout if you like target golf. Some holes were more technical than challenging. Greens weren't in the greatest shape. I was lucky enough to get my first hole in one on #17; went to the clubhouse after my round and told the guy working and his reply was "....ok...?". Wasn't really looking for a free round or a parade but I guess I was at least expecting a "congrats". That response ruined the subpar experience I already had. Not worth the 35 min drive to ever return.

The greens were in terrible condition. If the golf rangers put as much time into policing golfers and interrupting the pace of play- they could have spent time CLEANING UP THE GREENS. I've never seen greens in such poor condition littered with tree debris than I did yesterday. Get a leave blower out there, not that hard to realize.

I did not appreciate the golf ranger stopping our group on the SECOND HOLE to let a 2 some play through. It was completely inappropriate and frankly was offensive. I'm glad they didn't stop us again, seeing all of the 2 somes should have been paired up. End of story.

Friendly staff all the way around. Pace was the only issue we had. We saw two rangers on the course which was nice, but that position involves more then just driving around the course. Pace needs to be addressed. All in all great course.

The guy working inside the clubhouse was extremely friendly and helpful. Even hooked me and my old man up with some donuts!

This is a challenging course with ups and downs, some tight fairways and just all around great layout offering lots of variety.

I really liked this course. It has a nice mix of tree lined and links style holes.

I found the tee shots to be the most challenging. They either look tougher than what the shot really is off the tee, or the tee shot looks easy but then the fairway narrows down in the landing area.

I can't wait to go back :)

Pretty wide open layout but with many strategically placed bunkers and long native grass. Greens can be quite large and undulating so prior course knowledge is key. I will definitely be back to try and redeem myself.

Had a great day of golf with friends, thanks to golf now we had more money to gamble with.

Purchased a round using Golfnow and was happy with what I paid, and even happier with the weather. Just about a perfect day in West Michigan. Pace of Play was good. Finished in a bit over three hours and really could have moved faster if I wanted too.

Management is extremely friendly and accommodating. Play here every weekend and will continue to. Course is very well maintained.

This is a great course. It is a challenging course with some narrow tee shots. For April in Michigan I thought the course was in great shape. Michael in the clubhouse is super friendly and you can tell he really cares about the quality of the golf course. I recommend playing here anytime.
