Nice course
Shamrock Hills is a nice course that needs the community's support. It has some very different challenging holes as well as a few pediatrician holes. It is challenging but does not smack you upside your head. Staff is great! Prices are excellent. Good carts. Please support the course as it is currently for sale. I don't want to see it disappear like Thornapple Creek did.
Thoroughly enjoyed our round here!
While visiting friends in Paw Paw, we were looking for a course we had not played at, found this gem on GolfNow and decided to give it a try. We loved it! The staff was super friendly, and the course was in good shape considering the recent rainfalls. The scenery was lush and beautiful with wide tree-lined fairways and greens. We like it so much, we went back the next day! We did have some trouble navigating from hole to hole and wish the scorecard had better drawings of the course layout. Johnsonville brats were a hit at the turn as well. See you soon turtles, bullfrogs and sand cranes!
They don’t care about pace of play
The course is ok. A little short but not bad. Our front Nine was playing to pace but then when we get to 10, two slow players cut in front of groups playing 18. I asked the pro shop about it and they said that those two people were in fact playing 18 but stopped in to eat a nice leisurely lunch and then the course was perfectly fine with them just jumping on 10 whenever they got around to finishing their meal. Well, that’s all well and good u til you cut in front of multiple groups that weren’t trying to have a nice slow lunch. These two slow players that cut in front of us proceeded to lose pace behind a foursome and there were only two of them. I’m never coming back here. Time is the one asset we don’t get back no matter what we do and I don’t have time for a golf course that doesn’t value mine.
Fun course
This is a fun little course to play, not high class but not low class either, staff is really very nice all around. Not exactly bent grass fairways but the greens were firm and in great shape, rate of play was 9 holes in 1 hour and 45 minutes. The fairways are close together and a lot of mature trees. We chose it by price and were surprised at the value, paid 16 bucks on golf now for 9 holes
Course for all skill levels
Extremely friendly staff! Fun course for all skill levels, Course plays different from each tee box and provides different challenges. Great value for the money, the course is always in great condition.
Fun family owned golf course
Played on a cold damp Sunday morning. There were only a few cars in the parking lot, but having the place to ourselves was kinda nice.
Well kept tee boxes and even with the record rainfall we have encountered the course was very playable. It is an interesting routing with plenty of challenges (water hazards, sand traps and uneven lies).
Our golf watches did not recognize that they flipped the front nine and back nine. Also the flagsticks did not have reflectors on the tips so hand held laser did not easily pick up the flags. The greens were also a bit blotchy... but for the price we paid it was a very enjoyable round.
You can definitely tell this is a well maintained and Family owned golf course.
Kudos to the family for a super clean rustic clubhouse, nicely maintained golf carts and well kept golf course.
Thanks for the fun round... we will be back.
Interesting Course
The course has some interesting holes and some that are not fair. You can have a good shot that runs down the fairway into the woods.
This course will challenge your putting skill.
The course is layed out differently than most others and this is why I play it to tune up my game.
Fun course
The course is short but challenging you need to place your shots and think about position or you can be stymied..the course was well groomed will play again
Shamrock Hills
Very nice course, well maintained and management friendly and accommodated is as we arrived early. Would recommend this course.
Love the layout.
What a beautiful., well groomed course!. Updated carts. Very friendly staff. A challenging yet fun to play course.
Course is in excellent shape
The course was in very good shape, always challenging, but fair. We had a very nice round and even though it was busy the pace of play was very good. Would definitely come back, the staff was very welcoming.
Great Fall golf
Love the course layout ect.
Huge upgrade from several years ago.
If you haven't played here in the last couple of years, you need to play it now! It rates up with Gull Lake View and Stonehedge. And their staff is a whole lot more friendly.
Fun playing
It was fun playing it was a course in the area that we hadn't played so we did it. It was a 45 mile drive. I won't be going back it's not that special. There are other better courses in the 45 mile range better.
