Stonehedge North Course at Gull Lake View Golf Club and Resort

About
Situated in the beautiful lake region of southwest Michigan, Gull Lake View Golf Club offers five scenic championship courses. The quality and variety offered by the courses and their convenient location less than three hours from Detroit, Toledo, and Chicago, have made Gull Lake a favorite destination for golfers from all over the Midwest, Great Lakes, and even parts of Canada. It is also only about an hour from Grand Rapids, Lansing, and Fort Wayne. Stonehedge North is the newest of the five courses. The diverse layout combines wide-open holes that play across grassy, windswept meadows with forested holes that feature dramatic elevation changes. The golf course consists of six par 3s, par 4s, and par 5s each, which also makes it an excellent scoring course for all skill levels.

Played both of the Stonehedge courses on the same day. Started on the South and then played the North. The two courses do feel substantially different from one another, with the North being more straightforward… on the front 9 at least.
CONDITIONS: The course was in good shape. The greens ran a bit faster on the North than they did the South. The fairways and tee boxes were in good shape, as were the bunkers.
VALUE: Played at a reduced rate because of my first round on the South. After playing both of these courses I would hope the North has a slightly lower green fee than the South.
LAYOUT: Played the Green tees (6,350). Interesting note, and they told me this in the pro shop as well, the North course has 6 par 3s, 6 par 4s, and 6 par 5s. I didn’t really notice this as I got into the round, and ended up enjoying the extra par 3s and par 5s.
The front 9 plays more open and allows more room off the tee than any other 9 on the property. The back 9 plays a bit like the South course in terms of the demands off the tee, and the tighter tree line. Hole #11 is fun and picturesque. The tee shot on #15 took my lunch money. I thought the finished 3 holes on the North course were a great way to close out a round.
STAFF: The pro shop was helpful.
PACE: As a single, a few groups did let me play through… Thank you!
fun day
the layout of 3 par 3s 3 par 4s and 3 par 5s is a nice change the course is fairly open and well kept will keep coming back
Unique
course in excellent shape. very unique place with 6 par 3/4/5 each . certainly will come back.
Really Enjoyable Course
Stonehenge North is a fun layout and is in good shape. It has six 3s, 4s, and 5s, which makes for a nice variety. The course was in good shape all over. The rough was starting to get a bit dry in spots due to the recent heat wave, but all the fairways and greens were green. The greens were a bit slow, but rolled true. Of the Gull Lake courses I've played, Stonehenge North ranks second behind Stoatin Brae and is usually significantly cheaper.
Great place.
The north course is one of my favorites in the greater kalamazoo area. We’ll cared for, friendly staff, good deals can be found to play here. Love the 3-3-3 layout on each 9. Wish more courses did that.
