About
Established in 1927, Chemung Hills Golf Club is one Livingston County's oldest courses. The classic design has withstood the test of time beautifully and it is still considered one of the area's toughest public courses. The layout stretches across lush, rolling hills that are dappled with mature trees. Chemung Hills is known almost as much for the beautiful scenery as it is for the challenging design, which is characterized by its elevation changes. The ups and downs on the course range from subtly tricky to dramatic and intimidating. The layout has a player-friendly mix of short and mid-length holes, even all of the par 5s are reachable. Though you may not need length, your shots will need to be straight and accurate. You'll face blind shots on several holes. Strong iron play will be generously rewarded on this tough golf course.

Nicely kept course. Very friendly staff. Would totally recommend this place!
This course is in great shape!
The course layout is challenging and is in great shape. During this Covid-19 time, we expected the carts would be a little bit cleaner, but we always do our own anyways.
The major drawback was the EXTREMELY
slow pace!! No ranger was ever present and therefore the groups ahead were not told to pick up the pace.....we eventually skipped three holes, went to the 18th and finished in a pokey 5 hours plus!
I would not recommend this course at this time unless you have time to spare.
Great Greens—Some awkward holes but Nice Place
Overall fun place to play. Greens are in great shape. A few awkward holes but overall good value when using a $20-$25 Hot Deal

Challenging course, great value!
Was once a private club now open to the public. Challenging holes and greens. Well kept up.
Hurry up and wait
Unbelievably overbooked. Great course but a wait long enough to throw off your swing. Stay away until they learn how to respect reserved tee times and not cater to walk ins. Darn shame

Amazing for the price
This course if fun, in great shape, challenging but manageable. You can often get 18 and cart for $20 or less, awesome value! They could use some better signage, you use the same paths several times on the back 9, and the layout pic on the scorecard doesn’t help much. That is literally my only complaint.

great value
get a teetime last minute. weather was perfect. course was in really good shape. greens and fairways were really nice. course had several challenging holes with some easy ones as well. no cart service is only complaint
need a guide
this is one course that you need to know the holes. many blind shots and sidehill lies make it tough to navigate. very tight and simevtricky doglegs.

Great for the Price
Really nice course for the price. I booked a hot deal, but the other tee times were around $25. The staff was very friendly and the course is in great shape. Was kind of confusing going between holes due to lack of signage, and yardage seemed off on a few holes. Overall great experience and I look forward to coming back!
Usually I love golfing here but this past time was horrific. The pace of play was extremely slow. I tried calling multiple times to get a ranger out to speed up play and nobody answered the phones. It took me over 3 hours to get through 9 holes! Ridiculous! We left after 14 holes. The group in front of us left disappointed as well. Severely disappointed and may never come back unless they get their stuff together.

Highly Overrated
Wont play here again. the greens where the only things that were not in poor condition. Weed killer... use it.. Everything else was poorly maintained. weeds everywhere. cart paths are a mess. Tee boxes are a mess.. 5 hours for 18 holes. Tee boxes are right next to the greens.... balls flying everywhere. 4.3 stars is a joke. Terrible value
