Chemung Hills Golf Club
About
Established in 1927, Chemung Hills Golf Club is one Livingston County's oldest courses. The classic design has withstood the test of time beautifully and it is still considered one of the area's toughest public courses. The layout stretches across lush, rolling hills that are dappled with mature trees. Chemung Hills is known almost as much for the beautiful scenery as it is for the challenging design, which is characterized by its elevation changes. The ups and downs on the course range from subtly tricky to dramatic and intimidating. The layout has a player-friendly mix of short and mid-length holes, even all of the par 5s are reachable. Though you may not need length, your shots will need to be straight and accurate. You'll face blind shots on several holes. Strong iron play will be generously rewarded on this tough golf course.

Old Tract with great fairways and greens
A shorter course that requires you hit out past wooded doglegs. Nice elevation changes and different green complexes. Only drawback to the round is the forward tee boxes. They need to be watered and softened up, nearly impossible to set a tee in them.
Older but good
This track is always been a local favorite an old private country club now ran by the city. Nice layout with slope filled greens. Love the price and would definitely recommend it to anyone.
Bruce Weisberg
The personnel are great, always warm and inviting!
Make us feel at home.
Thanks gentleman.
Beautiful Course
Beautiful course, excellent amenities. Challenging greens, but not torturous.
Playing Chamung Hills
We (my wife and I ) love playing this course. It is close to home, the cost is very good. the restaurant has very good food at good prices. We think highly of this course.
Chemung Hills
Nice course tough greens to putt. Overall good condition.
great course, but that guy in the clubhouse..
finally got my son and nephew together for the first time in years to play a round, chemung hills was close to the campground we had all met at and made tee time for sunday before we all went home.the starter was a nice retired guy,and we had a great round playing old folks against millennials.course was really nice, many hills and very pretty.i can only give three stars because the guy who checked us in was aloof and rude-I mentioned it was my first time playing the course and if there was anything he could tell us about it and he pointed at the clock and said we are on time here-you start in 50 minutes.ok,no problem, went and grabbed a snack out of the motorhome ,came back in 40 minutes and asked if we were following the group on the practice green and he sighs and says what was your time again,no just follow the two guys that just left.a bit of a drive up a hill to the first tee but he did not even bother to point us in the right direction.the course was very enjoyable but this one gentleman left a bad impression-perhaps someone needs to remind him that when people come in and pay money to golf there,it helps him keep a job,and maybe if he did not treat us like dirt on the bottom of his shoe they would not have to give hot deals on golf now to fill the tee sheet
Great Pace for Sunday
Took my wife a non golfer along and paid full greens fee for her. Didn't mind because we got out the door for $24 for both of us on golfnow. Rained a bit but ended up clear. Course is in great shape and greens roll well. 2 1/2 hour round was perfect.
Pace of play
The course is in great shape but as usual unless you have 5 hours to spend on a round, forget it. I love this course but yesterday was probably the last time I'm going there. The pace of play out there is some of the worst I've dealt with anywhere... Great track and staff but pace of play is just out of control.
fun course
Open fairways, easy greens with moderate speed, good pace of play with no waiting even without rangers, some challenges with creeks and water so club choice was a consideration even though Tin Cup strategy was in play. The rain came down hard on 14 so we waited and continued when it slowed because the course drains well. The restaurant was closed at the turn on a Saturday afternoon much to my dismay.
Challenging but not punishing.
First time playing this course and very happy. Very scenic elevated tees. Played white tees. Course in excellent condition. Pace was good for our two some and improved when afoursome let us play through.
Can't wait to return.
Love Chemung Hills
Played a Saturday afternoon in early May - it was windy and a little soggy from the previous week's rain - but that didn't impact my enjoyment. I really LOVE this course - there's an "up north" feel without the drive up north. The course was in good condition. Improvements to tee box stairs and bridges are really nice. I can't wait until next week when I can go back.
Great Old Track
I have been wanting to play here for years. I found the course to be in a fairly decent condition. I was very surprised by the challenging layout. A lot of elevation change. Many doglegs so tee balls can be a bit of a challenge if you don't know the course. My one issue was the lack of sand in a few of the bunkers. I'll be back.
Golf in the fall just beautiful!
Enjoyed our day, November 1st unusual for Michigan. The trees on the course were just beautiful. Course well maintained.
Beautiful up north feel
This course offers it all. There are friendly holes and some holes that will eat you up if your not careful. I birdied one hole and had a par on eight holes however, there was a few double bogies as well. The landscape is hilly with beautiful trees. This was our 4th. time playing here and there will be many more to come. The restaurant has probably the best hot dogs I have ever had!
