About
Established in 1927, Chemung Hills Golf Club is one Livingston County's oldest courses. The classic design has withstood the test of time beautifully and it is still considered one of the area's toughest public courses. The layout stretches across lush, rolling hills that are dappled with mature trees. Chemung Hills is known almost as much for the beautiful scenery as it is for the challenging design, which is characterized by its elevation changes. The ups and downs on the course range from subtly tricky to dramatic and intimidating. The layout has a player-friendly mix of short and mid-length holes, even all of the par 5s are reachable. Though you may not need length, your shots will need to be straight and accurate. You'll face blind shots on several holes. Strong iron play will be generously rewarded on this tough golf course.

Pace of play
Very disappointed with 3 1/2 hour 9 holes. Backed up on every hole on a weekday morning. We got off at 11:25 with a 11:00 tee time and just dragged all morning. No beverage cart no wardens on the course. The group ahead of us did what we did and went to the club house after 9 holes and asked for a rain check. We paid $24 for 18 with a cart and the policy was to return to us $4 each. Didn't make me happy at all and although I have played this course before and liked it I probably will not be back. Raincheck policy is very poor.
Vert Nice
Chemung Hills should be on your list of must play courses in Livingston County.
The course is wonderful shape for mid July. It's challenging enough for the low handicappers and forgiving enough for everyone else.
A whole lot better now
I golfed this course a few years ago and eh. Now it is much nicer and a steal with my hot deal I got. Definitely coming back.
Good variation
I like any variation holes. Width view, narrow and up-down, I could fun to play. But pace of play was slow.
Course marshal ruined a fun round
At the end of the round we went the wrong way, no signage to tell us otherwise on the 18th green. The course marshal came across so rude in his instructions to us I may never go back. However, the gentleman in the pro shop was super nice and even let us hit some range balls before our round.
Good Round but Course Was Wet
Always a good value for the money but the course was very wet for a time where it had not rained in a day. Course has some challenging holes that you must hit to a specific yardage or risk not being able to attack the pin.
Good deal
Nice course for the price I love that the cart has ball washer Club washer windshield and Club cover for if it rains. This course reminds me of an old school Country Club it has many elevations pleasure to play

Nice course at a reasonable price. Too many golfers make pace of play slow

Fast greens
The greens were super fast. All over course in great shape.
Lunch was disheartening, person was in the kitchen part, had to call out numerous times to get her attention. She looked directly at us and kept on doing what she was doing. Big chore to just give us a pre heated hot dog!!
