Chemung Hills Golf Club
About
Established in 1927, Chemung Hills Golf Club is one Livingston County's oldest courses. The classic design has withstood the test of time beautifully and it is still considered one of the area's toughest public courses. The layout stretches across lush, rolling hills that are dappled with mature trees. Chemung Hills is known almost as much for the beautiful scenery as it is for the challenging design, which is characterized by its elevation changes. The ups and downs on the course range from subtly tricky to dramatic and intimidating. The layout has a player-friendly mix of short and mid-length holes, even all of the par 5s are reachable. Though you may not need length, your shots will need to be straight and accurate. You'll face blind shots on several holes. Strong iron play will be generously rewarded on this tough golf course.

A hidden gem
What a great course, you have to manage your game, don't hit driver on all the par 4 s
Great staff.
I'll be back with some friends
Fun Course.Good Value fpr the money
Played this course a number of times and it has always been fun. Not a difficult course but not too easy either. A fair, fun course for the average golfer. Never seems to be too busy, which is nice. Fairly well manicured, although they had aerated the course earlier in the week so some of the greens were a little rough to putt on, but it is a necessary maintenance procedure that understandably has to be done . Can't complain for $19. Great weather, fun course so a great day.
fun round
Great for the price. Good pace challenging but doable!
This course has great fairways
Greens were awesome course overall was challenging, fairways were well maintained, only problem was that the holes are far from each other
course layout
Scenic, picturesque layout. No up and down holes. Condition of course was great. Staff, freindly and helpful. Will play it again.
Nice course with challenging greens.
Played the course for the first time and had to learn the layout. Scorecard gives tips for fairways, greens and hazards to avoid. Hilly course, with some woods, but sufficient gaps to afford various escape options with risk/reward. Some forced carries, but nothing which will impact bogey or double bogey golfers if you pick the conservative shot. Greens have varying levels and/or slope, this will be the greatest challenge. Sufficient tee options to allow enjoyable playing for golfers of all skills. I plan to go back and play again.
Great course & friendly staff
First time playing this course and I would go back to play again. Great value and the staff is very friendly.
Good early season course!
This was my first time playing Chemung Hills GC. I played with a friend in early spring. It was sunny but still chilly. The greens were in good condition for early spring and after the harsh winter. Putts rolled well and that's all you can hope for in mid April. One very quirky item to mention is when teeing off number 10 you are hitting directly over a portion of the parking lot. Lunch menu was very minimal, possibly because it was April. Only hotdogs and brats were available.
Fun play
Nice course with lots of changing elevation. Plays well with challenging greens.
Course manners
My foursome was jumped at the turn while getting lunch. We arrived on the 10th tee just as the first golfer was teeing up. This foursome did not ask to jump ahead of us and worse yet one of them was a starter, Phil who worked for the course! We waited on every hole on the front 9. No ranger would intervene because of their homeboy. I'll never go back.
Nice Course
Certainly worth playing, Has some challenging holes and a real bargain.
Fairways
The fairways were really bumpy as well as what is left of the cart paths. Greens were in fair condition. The carts were nice and in good condition. The staff was nice and helpful.
Nice old fashion course
Spring golf but greens were in excellent shape and management is keeping the course in good shape. Enjoyed the course will play it again in the summer.
