Chemung Hills Golf Club
About
Established in 1927, Chemung Hills Golf Club is one Livingston County's oldest courses. The classic design has withstood the test of time beautifully and it is still considered one of the area's toughest public courses. The layout stretches across lush, rolling hills that are dappled with mature trees. Chemung Hills is known almost as much for the beautiful scenery as it is for the challenging design, which is characterized by its elevation changes. The ups and downs on the course range from subtly tricky to dramatic and intimidating. The layout has a player-friendly mix of short and mid-length holes, even all of the par 5s are reachable. Though you may not need length, your shots will need to be straight and accurate. You'll face blind shots on several holes. Strong iron play will be generously rewarded on this tough golf course.

I'll Be Back
It's a nice course...with friendly and tough holes . Very nice scenery too, especially on the "new" nine! :)
My only "complaint"... the tee boxes need some work.
Wow!
It is a bit of a drive from the city, but more than worth it. Master this course and you can have the confidence to play anywhere. Great greens roll fast and true. Hilly terrain and layout will keep you thinking. A must play.
good course
For the most part the course is well maintained with the exception of a couple of holes, I would not play this course without utilizing Golf Now due it being overpriced at a regular rate. Over all I enjoyed playing there and have played there a few times and will continue to go back as long as their are tee times available on Golf Now,
Very demanding course. Gotta hit the fairways and greens. A must.
Enjoyed the course immensely. Most challenging course I've played in MI. Demands every club in the bag and a caddie on some holes.
The course was a good one for anyone who wants a challenge.
The course was in great shape. It has some challenging holes such as a PAr 3 on i believe 11, where you are blind of the green and hit into a bowl shaped green. Key to the course is to follow the booklet and read it. It tells you ideally where to play you shots. It becomes target golf closer to the holes as bunkers are well played out.
Greens roll true! Tight fairways
A short course but not one that can be overpowered. Tight fairways and small greens. Conditions are fair but the greens are above average. Would play it again.
overbooked. 25min delay on first tee. 12 holes in 4.5hrs
we started out waiting and finished 12 holes in 4.5 hrs and went to club house to complain and they told us to ask golf now.com for a refund. We went home after 12 holes disgusted. My friends from out of town were not impressed and i promised never to take them to chemung hills again.

Interesting lies
The course is very interesting in that you cannot hit the ball just anywhere without paying a price.
Great bang for your buck.
Love playing Chemung. Great staff, great amenities and all for a great price. I call it my home-track for a reason, and this is long before I started using GolfNow. Highly recommend snapping up any deals you can get.
This course has fun and challenging holes.
Played this course many times and always enjoy the layout. Greens are kept up well. There are plenty of opportunities to find water or OB.
I enjoyed the course.
The course had well placed hazards. I yardage was very reasonable. The green fees were reasonable. I will play it again.
Very Busy....rushed
This course was very busy for a Tuesday early afternoon. The holes all run side by side with very narrow fairways. It was challenging but the pace was slow. Don't think I would go back.
Nice course, greens were in good shape.
The course itself was in very nice shape, including the greens. However, it took over 5 hours for our twosome to play. Very crowded with very slow play, especially for a weekday, with no rangers on the course and no beverage cart until after 4 pm.
Worthwhile
One will play every club in your bag on this hilly course. There are lakes, woods, traps and slopes to deal with to keep one focused. Then the greens have some awesome slopes and steep grades to get your attention. Be sharp, be satisfied by playing this tract.
Public course maintained like a private country club!
Chemung hills is a great golf course, awesome elevations, great scenery and design! Fairways and green are in excellent condition! I give it a solid A! You cannot go wrong at chemung hills!
Nice layout but greens were somewhat ragged. Slow pace for a Friday.
The course had a relatively good layout but the greens were ragged and did not roll true. also inconsistent. Pace was slow
Tough course
My tee shots are in the 220 - 240 range. They put a lot of trouble in those areas on several holes. The greens are like glass. You do not want to land the green above the hole! Sand traps are actually sand - somewhat challenging but not impossible. You can take the cart almost anywhere on the course -- a plus for a spray & pray hitter like me :)
One tee shot that could be very disconcerting (#10 I think) -- an high, elevated, tee over a very steep scrub field then over 4 rows of parking. The lot was empty when we played and I cleared the lot easily - but WOW!
Very nice course. shot makers will do well. We'll go back for sure.
This was our first time and wasn't familiar with the layout. Should score better next time. Tree across cart path on #15 looked like it may have been for a while?6
Quite hilly
The course was in fine shape greens were pretty fast
Alright Course
This course wasn't anything special. If you are looking to play some "cheap" golf go here.
