I will always play here when I visit Michigan. Photo submitted by Fresch on 06/21/2022

The clubhouse and the practice green. Very beautiful building and the practice green is as good as any on the course. Photo submitted by BuffaloBen15 on 01/04/2022

Practice green also has a great view of Lake Nepessing. Photo submitted by BuffaloBen15 on 01/04/2022

12th green. This is a very challenging approach shot on an already long hole bordered by out of bounds on the right. Those three large cavernous bunkers are always a threat. Photo submitted by BuffaloBen15 on 01/04/2022

The 13th green. What a view of the hole. This is a short risk reward par 4 with a 240 yard carry over the reeds in order to reach the second fairway just short of the green. Photo submitted by BuffaloBen15 on 01/04/2022

16th green. This is the highest point on the golf course. What a view of the fairway and the willows. Very tough approach shot as it plays 50 feet if not more uphill and it is tough to hold the green even with a wedge. Photo submitted by BuffaloBen15 on 01/04/2022

Lapeer
Average course for the price. Course was soggy from the previous nights rain. Back 9 is very up & down from tee to green with some extremely difficult holes. Had to start the back 9 on #13 due to a men's league and loop back to finish #10-12. Would much rather play other courses in the Lapeer/Oxford area.
Old School Course
Course was in very good shape with just enough difficulties to make it interesting. Pleasantly surprised! Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Would play here again.
Nice day in the country
Nice rolling terrain with well maintained course. Seemed to always be hitting to an elevated green.
Thank you for your kind review. Hope you visit Lapeer Country Club again soon!
Nice course
Very well maintained course from tees to greens. Paired with a very nice individual who made the round all the more enjoyable.
So glad you enjoyed playing golf at Lapeer Country Club. We hope to see you again soon!
Nice layout
Played with 3 friends. Played slow, because of an 18 hole league ahead of us. Need to keep it in the fairway, trees can come into play if you don't. Would play It again. The course conditions were good.
slow
pace of play was slow .many courses need rangers that enforce pace of play.
Nice course but...
Very nice and fun/challenging course. BUT the course management is awful. I called to book tee time and specifically asked if there were any outings the day I wanted to go. The person at front desk said no, so I decided to book my tee time. When we arrived, there was an outing going on! And they did not know where to put us. 1130 tee time, didn't tee off til 1215 and we had to go on hole 15. Needless to say, we didn't get to play a full round because it was so backed up. Never go on weekends.
I am sorry to hear of your experience at our course. We would like to make it up to you as soon as possible by issuing you credit toward golf at Lapeer Country Club in the future. Please contact me at 810-664-2442 at your earliest convenience. Ask for the owner, Kelly.
The wait was unforgivable
I was paired with another Golf Now group for a 11:31 tee time. I arrived early and when I pulled into the parking lot, I knew there was trouble. On the first tee there were over 10 carts! I met with the others that I was pair with and we asked if we could go off of the back nine. We waited for about 20 minutes and they told us to tee off at 15! We played 15 - 18 without any problems but when we arrived to start on one, there were five groups still waiting to tee off. We waited our turn but even when we got to the second hole, there were 5 groups on the hole. A club member called and complained and we found out they had scheduled a 44 person outing on Father's Day even though when asked about it Thursday, nothing was scheduled. Two of the guys I was playing with quit after the fifth hole and myself one one other, played the front nine before quitting. We still had 5 holes to go after 4 hours.
This course is great, the people are great but they sure need a lesson in scheduling management. If this had been my first time playing here, I would never return.
The course was in very good shape, it's just a shame that they didn't handle this situation very well.
Wouldn't let us play even though we had a paid tee time!
Three of us had, and paid for a tee time on GolfNow.com but after we drove 25 miles to get there they said we couldn't play because of a league! We went elsewhere and will not go back there. Drove 50 miles for nothing.
Lapeer C.C. read my review & apologized plus gave us free 18 hole rounds for the earlier mix-up. They treated us very nice when they found out what had happened to us.
Thank you very much!
I was just made aware of your experience at Lapeer Country Club. Please contact Kelly at 810-664-2442 as soon as possible as I would like to remedy this situation immediately. Thanks.
Memorial Day luck
We picked a deal for for memorial day on GolfNow. $16 for 18 holes and a cart at 10:30 and cannot beat it!! Waited on just a couple tees but course was in good condition even in the low spots
overall good
Overall worth your time, slow round for a 6100 yard course
Try it, a great 4 hours (or less)!
This golf course was in great shape. Fairways were awesome. Very hilly, challenging with blind shots on 6-7 holes. Not real long, but long enough from the tips. Great views of lake across street. Staff was very helpful & friendly. If you are a golfer who enjoys a real nice course for a great value, this is a place. It's worth a 30-45 minute ride, at least. If I lived close enough I would consider joining this club.I will go back.
Lapeer
We had a major rainstorm the night before. Everything considered the course was in good condition staff was super friendly and so were the other golfers I would recommend this course to play
Lapeer country club
Greens are pretty rough looking right now. But, after the horrible winter its understandable. The course overall is still decent. Greens are fast .
