Not worth the money.
Country club is cheaper and the greens are better.
Just go to the country club
The new management doesn’t deserve our business. Run them out of town and get someone who cares about its customers.
The carts have to be in way before dark. If you have them back one minute late they will ban you for life.
Worst staff ranger around. Staff is not friendly unless they are underpaid.
They have raised the twilight rate to $30 and you have to have the carts in at 8:30.mind you, it doesn’t get dark until 9:30 or so.. If you are on the 18th hole putting for eagle at 8:33 they will come out and kick you off. Worst place to go and would not recommend. I have been banned because I putt my ball.
The ranger is the worst person I’ve met in a while.
Plenty of people would agree.. including a women’s league that had been there for 40 years. They were run out due to the staff being uncooperative and disrespectful. The ladies that wanted to walk had to pay to ride.
The course is fine it’s the management that doesn’t deserve our business. The Country club Has twilight for $30 at 5:00 and you can have the carts in at 9:30. The course is in way better shape too. The greens are no comparison.
Big improvements
I decided to play there yesterday as a back up only.. I typically don’t want to play here due to staff being unfriendly and course was not taken care of.. First time there this year and could not believe the changes they have made.. course is in the best shape I’ve seen it in a while.. they repainted the inside of clubhouse and actually have staff that smile and seem to like there job.. enjoyed my round there and will start to spend more time there..
Saturday Golf
Played a round with a friend. We both have played this course many times. Enjoyed that the hole layouts are back to the original way. The track needs to be renovated and fairway trees off of tee box needs to be pruned. Overall fun course.
They need to take better care of their tee boxes and greens
Backup
They were very backed up when we arrived but tried to be very accomodating and discounted our round due to that fact.
This course has been improving!!
It has been awhile since I played at Rolling Hills. I decided to try it again and the ownership is making great progress. Great course and not crazy expensive like other courses.
Much Improved
The new owners and management are doing a great job making this a better place to play. The course is in much better shape. The new pro shop is more professional and the employees are friendly and knowledgeable. It seems like they take pride in what they’re trying to build.
Good job everyone. Keep it up.
Bush league course
I booked a tee time through GolfNow. I arrived 30 minutes prior to my tee time. Upon arrival to the parking lot, I saw 10-20 golfers staged at the first tee. I called the clubhouse and after several rings a young lady answered. I explained 5r situation to her and she stated. “I’m The Only One Here And I’m Busy, I Can’t Do Anything For You Until After 11:00am. I asked to speak to the Manager to no avail. They had scheduled a scramble at my tee time. I called GolfNow and waited while he called the clubhouse to confirm my story. The GolfNow representative said that the phone just rang and rang. He called them back and stated that he spoke to a man who did not believe he was calling for GolfNow. I’m currently waiting for the credit to my account for the round I did not play. My advice to anyone considering playing this course is to avoid it at all costs.
Course not bad, but...
Golfed at Rolling Hills on 6/17/23 (father's day weekend). There was only one person working the clubhouse in the morning (on a holiday weekend?) she was running the check-in and working as the bartender, so when a group of four ordered themselves a round of bloody mary's, it caused a backup in the check-in line. Everyone was being started on the back nine (causing another backup on a busy morning). When we hit the turn, we saw a lineup of 6-10 carts waiting on the 1st tee. We were informed that an outing of about 60 golfers had arrived (the staff seemed confused and unaware that such an outing was taking place on that day)and were all shooting off the 1st tee. We were welcome to wait behind them or play the back again, which we did. All and all, it was a decent, well maintained course(from what I was able to play) but what seemed to be a lack of any type of preparation for a busy holiday weekend and apparent lack of knowledge of a big outing happening on the course reeks of unprofessionalism. Would still probably play again if I were from the area, but wouldn't make the hour drive to play again.
Never again
The existing reviews for this course have to be fake.
All of the carts are very old and beat up. 90% of the grass is long and burnt with the exception of greens. Tee boxes are basically cement.
Clearly zero dress code as the majority of other players were in dirty t-shirts and jeans. Along with lots of yelling, loud music and partying.
Much nicer courses for the same price, if not less.
Definitely won't be back.
