White/Gold at Bello Woods Golf Course

I enjoyed the course, especially for what I paid. Took a beginner and was perfect for them

I’ve golfed this course many times before. While it’s never in pristine condition, at least it’s usually playable. Yesterday was completely unacceptable. We played White to Gold. The greens on the White course looked like they had been recently punched and had not been cut in a couple days. The ball would barely move and took crazy bouncy paths to the hole. The Gold course was even worse. Several of the greens looked like they had been punched that morning and the plugs were just dumped on the side. Those greens were unplayable. They were so bad we just took 2 putts on the card and picked up our balls. If it were late October I could accept this but for the middle of June, that’s just ridiculous. Even with the Hot Deal I got, I felt like I paid too much for this round in its current condition.

We try and play here once a month, the staff is great, and all 3 9 hole courses are challenging fun and well kept a little gem that’s worth the money

We played in the afternoon but days/weeks prior it rained often, just wish the conditions were on the dry side.

Holes were routinely 20+ yards shorter than the scorecard. Everything is straight and flat and boring. Greens were in decent shape. There’s a busted pepsi machine on the course.

Bello is a decent course if you're getting a deal. The carts are not great, can get really swampy. Full price in the summer at nearly $40 a round is not worth it. Rather go to Hickory Hollow or Sycamore for full price rates. That being said it's a nice local course for a quick round.
