Meh
Course was prob really nice at one point however lack of upkeep is the current tale. Greens were in decent shape but very furry. Im assuming they aren’t doing bunkers anymore? The pits are still present but grown in and zero maintenance. Love the layout however it feels like they sold the land and are just doing bare minimum till it’s gone or something. Tons of potential.
This course is awful
New owners supposedly came from maple lanes. This course is maple lanes 2
Pace of play is atrocious. Took almost 3 hours to play 9 holes when the starter and person behind the counter said “the course is wide open” will never play here again. The 1 ranger I saw said he would try to get the groups moving faster, just to drive right back to the club house and not even try to do his job
Fairways are 50% weeds, the few bunkers are completely overgrown with weeds and grass, most holes are dog legs, hard to write a bad review for $40 course but this is not even worth $20 if they can’t enforce pace of play.
Needs a LOT of help
First and last time I’ll be playing this course. Where to begin……tee markers didn’t look like they’d been moved in a month, divots everywhere on the tee box. Bunkers….weed filled pits with ancient rakes still lying around in them. Cart paths……gravel and MUD with potholes everywhere. Carts….brakes failed on my cart, thankfully at the last hole. Trees…have been allowed to over grow…..one hole had a tree limb almost completely blocking access to the hole. Fairways…..burned out in many places. The only good thing I could mention might be the greens were in better shape than the rest of the course. At $42, a waste of money….if it had been $25 it could be considered almost fair value.
Course is reborn
Last time I played this course was several years ago and it was garbage. I reluctantly booked a tee time here and was pleasantly
surprised. I found out they were under new ownership. The new owners are really trying to bring this course back from the dead.
The tee boxes and greens were in great shape. Sand traps are still a work in progress.
The staff was extremely friendly. Give this course a little more time and I'm sure it will be much better. Well worth the $42 we paid for 18 with a cart on a Sunday morning.
Great Value! Good Integrity by Mgmt!
Great value for the price. Each hole was different and provided a good variety. Greens good shape. Tee boxes a bit rough in some spots. Bunkers in process of going from sand to grass was interesting to play around.
Overall, met and beat my expectations for a $42 Sunday tee time.
Management and employees showed GREAT integrity…… I left my Bushell speaker and shot scope attached to my cart. Called few hours later and they had it for me to pick up. Big props!
Course review
Solid course. Some holes had deep ruts from course grounds carts and such. Greens were well kept. Mix of open and narrow fairways. Most of the bunkers were over grown with weeds and little to no sand. Bring bug spray as some holes are in deep wooded areas and skeeters are bad. Club house has no bar but does have a cooler with beer selections and a cooler with ice to fill your plastic bags. No cart girl on the day I played but could have just been the day.
The course wasn't really bad shape greens hadn't been mowed which made it very hard to find your ball. It looked rundown and unkept
Cedar Glenn
Where do I begin. I have not played this course in over 7 years.
After playing last Friday I know why.
This course was always a junk course but my wife received a email stating new ownership.
New Owners same course. Tee boxes torn up no fairway it's rough and lower rough a real cow pasture.
I payed $38 and I over paid by $20 bucks
They should turn this into a kids camp for beginners to go and hit golf balls
Real golfers stay away
If you are interested in playing golf on this side of town please go to Rattle Run.
The staff was extremely friendly and professional however, it appeared that the greens had not been watered in quite a while and were hard as concrete. There are many ponds located on this course that do not seem to be treated and there was a lot of bugs. So overall, I did not think it was worth the money spent for the round there.
Price for value
The new owners are cool and working hard on updating the grounds. Rest of the staff was extremely nice. And helpful.
course was in kind of rough shape. goose poop everywhere, flooded everywhere, smelly swamplike conditions throughout. Had to take a couple drops when the ball landed on the fairway but in 4" of sewage-esque water.
Poor conditions, friendly staff
Very nice staff, unfortunate course conditions and pace of play was poor but not horrible. Finished 15 holes in 4 hours before I had to leave.
Not bad for the cost
What you’d expect for a sub 40 dollar round. Bunkers are unplayable and rough is definitely ROUGH, but fairways/greens were in decent shape. Not sure that I’d play again but it was wide open
