Lovely classic Ross with improving conditions
I really think this is a gem. The front 9 is an outstanding layout - 5-9 are great. The back 9 is a little short and jammed together, but still interesting enough greens to be enjoyable. They’ve cleaned out lots of excess trees over the last 2-3 years, and moved some mow lines further back, much more playable. Also have cleared around the river so it’s more visible. Definitely great value. If it was closer to Metro Detroit it would be 20-30 more per round.
Decent Golf Course
The golf course was alright, the staff was fine with no sign of the golf professional anywhere. We had three players and were behind two foursomes when the two women who were behind us decided to just jump in front of us without asking. Not the best experience.
Had a great time
A nice layout the course conditions were excelllent, pace of play wasn’t bad no hold ups. Nothing crazy when it comes to the course layout. Slight bit pricey for the course but the conditions of the course kind of make you realize what you pay for.
Great Value
Top course in the county. Greens are fast and in perfect condition. Great layout. Pace of play was good. Love this course!
Great bones
This course is full of mature trees. It’s got tight shots and yet plays fair. For early season it was in very good shape. It was a little slow but it was the first nice weekend here in Michigan.
Leavers by the hundreds
Very poor management of the leaves. Had to stop playing, couldn’t find ball.
In great shape
This course is always in great shape. Greens are fast and run true. Back plays much shorter than the front. Highly recommend!
Didn't get to play
Monroe Golf & CC doesn't so business with golf now but golf now took our $. Called 800 number but said they only chat on line these days. Chatting tomorrow & getting $ back. Of not calling credit card company & BBB.
No staff
No staff and had a number to text, no response or help...I paid for a cart on the deal..not even a pull cart available...didnt get to golf, would like a refund please
Great course with a challenging layout and great staff to take care of your day. Course is not long but the mature trees requires you to hit it straight or be penalized . I never get tired of playing this course and recommend this course to anyone.
Classic Ross Course
Classic Donald Ross Design that just started some Public play this season under new ownership. Tight tree lined fairways with very small greens. Ball striking is at a premium here but if you hit the greens they are in excellent condition and there not as severe as other Ross designs in the area. Highly recommend anyone in the area playing this course.
Ross does it again!
A quaint Donald Ross course in the middle of a suburban community. Typical Ross design features one would be accustomed to including large greens and thick rough. The course has many highlights including the Par-5 Ninth Hole, Par-3 Sixth Hole and finishing 18th hole.
