South/West at Links of Novi, The

I have played this course a few times. This time then course conditions were brutal. I thought when I booked I was getting good deal. I might be over reacting but green were covered in unfixed ball marks and some fairways needed attentions bunkers were something undesired.

Bought last minute time on Golf Now, so green fees were very reasonable. The course has 3 nines and all of them have some wide and open holes and some narrower ones cut through woods. The course is kept in very nice condition and many recent improvements in terms of landscaping are evident. This extends to nice sand in the bunkers, new signage, etc. The staff was accommodating in that they allowed us to select which nines we played based upon least busy. There was a ranger driving around making sure that things ran smoothly. While this is not a "championship" type of course it is sufficiently interesting and difficult that it will be a challenge and fun for most players.

Well maintained beautiful course. South is very short and tight. A lot of target golf.

We teed off right behind an outing it took us an hour to play the first 3 holes. Other than that we liked it a lot and will return for sure. We played east to west looking forward to checking out the south 9. Played with my wife and it seems friendly from the red tees.

The only issue was that we were assigned East & West course, but when we checked in, they had changed it to East & South Course. They said that's how it was booked, which was quite surprising.
We were looking forward to play the west course as it has water coming into play on most of holes and was challenging.

All aspects of the play and the golf course were very good.
Staff welcomed us and was very friendly and accommodating.

The course had both tight rolling fairways with woods along edges, as well as some fairly open holes that required strategic shots.

Pace of play moved along well despite several locations where woods and lost-ball trouble was present.

Greens were well groomed and played as they were read.
Looking forward to playing the course again!

This course does not schedule tee times appropriately. We played east and west. By hole 3 on east, a short par 4, there were 4 different groups waiting at the tee box. So about 45 minutes into our round we had to wait out every shot. Normally once there is enough distance between groups, pace will pick back up. Not at this course! Not only that but groups began to get impatient and started to hit up on us. I will not be returning to this course for both sanity and safety reasons.

Fairways and greens were in very good shape. Best condition this course has been in years.

Memorial Day weekend and we were a twosome (shame on us) but play was rather slow. Ranger was pleasant and attentive, offered a faster alternative for our second 9 in the round. Club house staff was also quite friendly. Course was in great shape, well groomed. Not sure why they named it "Links" at Novi because it is not a links course. Course had several narrow tree lined holes and lots of elevation. Course more comparable to a Northern MI course than any links course.

This is a nice fun course with a few tough holes mixed in.. grounds were well maintained and the staff was nice

Course is in excellent shape. I had trouble finding consistent fairways and greens on neighboring courses but Links of Novi was in great shape for early May when the grass has not had much time due to weather. The facilities were remodeled last year as well as significant improvements to the driving range were made along with new carts.

Just got a great deal to play Links of Novi. Still early in the year, so I was impressed with the quality/speed of greens as well as how well kept the course was. Staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and rangers were helpful and friendly. Will definitely play this course again.

this golf course was very high in price at the club house they wanted $39 after noon, golfnow.com had the price for $30 at 6 minutes after, staff were very rude, golf course greens were very bad and not cleaned millions of dead worms on every hole...

Weather was terrible and didn't play well, but other than that the course and staff seemed to pretty good.

The only real problem for me was groups ahead of us were hitting multiple tee shots on every hole. Golf ranger didn't really do anything about it. Complained to pro shop with nothing but apologies offered. Good course but expect 18 to take longer than the usual.
