About
The Myth Golf & Banquet used to be known as Beaver Creek before a major renovation in 2007. The former course was transformed into a scenic 18-hole championship golf course and a nine-hole, par-3 course. The courses were redone from the tees to the greens, one major improvement was the removal of all artificial tees. The 18-hole golf course has a traditional but challenging design that is still playable for all skill levels. The short course offers great practice for beginners and it's gentle enough for juniors. It's a good layout for families to play, but more advanced players can also enjoy a fast, casual round of practice. The Myth has a scenic location adjacent to Lake Orion, it sits on protected land that provides a home to a variety of wildlife. Sandhill cranes can often be seen throughout the golf course.

This course over books every time
I’ve played this course a couple times now. It really has great potential. The staff was friendly and I love that they make it easy to get something to eat at the then. However, they over book the course. It’s not really enjoyable when you have to wait 20 minutes on every hole to tee off. I wish they would manage pace of play better. For that reason I will never golf at this course again.

1st Time @ Course
Overall, this course was beautiful and enjoyable! Course was challenging, but fun to navigate. All of staff was very helpful and friendly, except for the young blonde girl at the front desk, who made me want to leave before I even teed off. Her attitude both in person and over the phone we’re shocking and disgraceful. I sincerely hope her actions were corrected as the front desk role creates the 1st (and too often last) impression for the course. So glad I stayed to play anyway, because the course and other staff members held up their reputation and did not disappoint!!
Extremely Slow
Booked 18 but could only play 9 due to the course being so full. There were four groups ahead of us just waiting to tee off at the turn.

Condition of course was good overall
Overall condistions were good, greens were excellent but tricky. Tee boxes were not good.
Driver's Licence Number needed?
The course asked to write down the name, phone number, and driver's license number in order to use the cart and play golf on the course. You can see all other customers' information as well on the paper. I asked how they safely discard all those information on the paper. The staff said they don't know. No No... identity theft issues are everywhere yet they collect all those information without any safe dealing with customers' information. I will never go to the course.

Greens were brutal
Pretty decent experience. Some tight fairways and difficult holes. Others were a cake walk. Main problem was just the greens. On probably 8 or 9 of the 18 holes the pin was on an absolute slant. I mean if you drop an amazing putt within a foot and it comes to a stop, it’ll just keep going slowly down another 15ft. Very annoying to deal with. Besides that it was pretty good.

Great par 3 course
We enjoyed the par 3 course and the country setting. Staff was very nice as well.
Lost Power but still got us out
Despite issues with no power, we were still able to get our round in (thanks for making that happen). With recent rains course was in really good shape!
Little Myth feedback
Hi! I brought my friend here because it’s a small course in a beautiful setting with reasonable prices. However, I must’ve forgotten how difficult it is to stay on the course. With the lack of signs and pavement it was challenging to navigate from one hole to the next. We found ourselves skipping over or playing the wrong hole more than once.
