Devil's Ridge Golf Club

I’ve been in Southern California for nearly a year and I can’t express how good golf in the midwest is. You quickly take lush fairways, fast greens, bent grass for granted but it truly is a luxury to come back home to play courses like this. Pace of play was under 5h which easily beats all CA course under 150$ and greens were in magnificent conditions. I could write for hours on end about this course and how golfing in the midwest in the summer season is a privilege but I’ll keep it at that. 12/10 would recommend and can’t wait to play there again!

Played here for the first time but I will be back! Felt like a Northern Michigan course with the elevation changes the views and all the trees.

The greens were firm but fair. Course knowledge is a bonus so I hope to put up a better number next time.

Only negative: the tee boxes were a bit chewed up between the tee markers but the unused portions of the boxes were in great shape. There are definitely a few holes where prudence dictates you hit an iron instead of a wood. Looking forward to my return.

Beautiful course within an hour of metro Detroit and not too pricey. Most holes holes were spaced out well.

Was told they gave rain voucher by young lady at the shop over the phone after playing 9. Paid for 18 and found out we had to deal with it with Golfnow and during the Corona could not contact anyone. Was hung up on and told there was no help or anything they could do even though I called at the 9th to make sure we could get the voucher or we would have continued and played the rest. Will not be back.

Have played this course over 100 times and just love it.

For me its a course that I always feel I could score better

which keeps me coming back

This year though they wont let singles book tee times except for early morning or late evening. I'm so disappointed in this.

Wonderful layouts. Have played here multiple times.

Pace of play was really bad though with leagues and inexperienced golfers slowing us on the back nine.

So glad to find out this course is only 17 minutes from my new house. we will definitely be back! Love the fairways and the elevation changes, and that they keep the rough short enough for us rec players to find our misses! great round on a beautiful day! my one small complaint is the ranger sent us off on the green tees, and that was too short for us. I did have the round of my life, but the card will have an asterik as i shouldnt be reaching par 5's in 2 strokes going 3 wood to 4 iron haha.

I’ve folded here many times. This is the first time I have found the tee boxes in very poor shape.

Further: the pace of play was very slow. This was a 5 hour round. Somehow, someone needs to check out these very slow people. Tell them to allow players to play through.

We were in no hurry but this was ridiculous.

The carts are very dated. Brakes wouldn’t hold unless you really slammed them down.

The women’s tee boxes were very very uneven and often pretty rugged.

Layout is improved over years past making it more playable for higher handicaps. Love the views.

I always enjoy playing this course. Front 9 has some challenging holes and doglegs and the back 9 ramps up the challenge with hills. Fast, smooth greens that are very easy to underestimate. My biggest complaint was pace of play, as our twosome ran right up behind what looked like 6 people playing (may have been two threesomes that joined up) and we had another threesome right behind us. The ranger at the beginning had separated us enough, though after the first tee-off there wasn't anyone out there to keep it moving. Didn't have to wait too much, but by the end you could tell the group ahead of us had quite a few beverages and were slowing down quite a bit, causing us to have three groups on the same hole by the end (group ahead on the green, our group waiting in the fairway- or close to - and the other group waiting at the tee).
