17th green. Three tiered with two sections guarded by water. You end up on the wrong third of the green and you may have to putt through some fringe or chip over some rough WITH YOUR BALL ON THE GREEN in order to reach the right tier. Photo submitted by BuffaloBen15 on 08/25/2019

Best Conditions this year
Best greens I've seen this season...flawless. Overall , course condition was 9.9 of 10. Friendly staff and starter, 3.25 hrs for 18 holes. Cart was a bit tired, only "less than perfect" part of visit.

always liked Devil's Ridge...played yesterday and was very pleased with course, not so much with my performance...
greens are very fast now.

Great Course
Devils Ridge is my 2nd favorite course within 2 hours of my house (my favorite course is also in Oxford, Copper Hills). Very reasonable pricing, perfectly groomed, good pace of play, pretty fair layout despite 2 holes that don't make sense. This beautiful course is definitely worth the drive, I find myself golfing there more and more each season.

Slow play
Great course.
We got paired up with two other people when we arrived. Asked if we could just go out by ourselves and was told no they were too busy. The other two people slowed us down and the people behind us had to wait. I understand they like to keep four people together but we started losing interest in the game by the second hole. They never had their clubs out and ready to play. I think it was about hole 13 the starter asked us to split up because there was a huge gap. I could of told them that on hole 3 or 4.
Hope we have a better experience next time.

Worst staff ever
Book 120 outting 1/2hour after our tee time ranger was rude to group behind us and people in the outting telling them if one person gets a good hit no one else should hit just go to that ball do to the ranger and over booking caused 51/2 hour round I won't be back

This is a can't miss!!!!!
The course is always in great condition. The greens make the course. It seem most players don't play from the proper tee box for there skill level, I guess that's everywhere. There is a real up north feel to the property. The starter was very friendly and helpful and got our day off to a good start. The staff and cart girls were all that and more. This course should cost $85.00 to play and we got it for much less. Everybody will score better the second time they play it. I recommend to everyone plays it often!
The best bang for the buck in the state for sure.

Overbooked without remorse for anyone.
Only go here if you can get an early tee time around 8am. I booked a tee time for 2pm on saturday. Normally weekends are more expensive and usually slower pace of play so i was ready for a 4 to 5 hour round. We get there early expecting to tee off 15 mins early. When we go up to the 1st tee there is 6 groups waiting to tee of. The starter lied and said they were 10 minutes behind tee times. We teed off at 2:35pm over a half hour late. After the first hole we waited another 20 minutes because it was so backed up. We paid for 18 but only played 11 or 12. By the time we were on 12 it was already 7pm. I was so mad when i found out the time because we had to leave. The sun was going down and we were there for 5+ hours already!!! I feel like they robbed me just like the mayweather pacciao fight. The worst part is that is a very nice course and i was playing great. I shot a 41 and my brother shot a 37. Would of loved to seen what we scored on 18 but we would have needed to start at 10am to finish that 8 hour round of golf. I have never in my life played a round so slow and i hope you don't get sucked into paying the premium price for that experience.
The comment devils ridge made on my review is a complete lie. I emailed them and the code they gave me was only 20% off and it only works on their specific website where the rates are much higher than on golf now so it ends up being more expensive that what I paid for my original round... I have yet to come back and I won't until they actually compensate me correctly. At least give us a rain check for 9 or something. We would love to come back but if we have a bad experience and they do nothing to help then why go back there?

The Devil lives on holes #10-14
This was my second time playing at Devil's Ridge. The previous time, our foursome played a twilight round after a morning round and we absolutely got wrecked through some stretches of the course. This course is like a tale of two 9s. Front nine is relatively 'forgiving' and somewhat 'open' with plenty of water in play on most of the holes. The back 9 starts you on a brutal stretch on hole #10 through #14. Blind shots, severe elevation and very small landing areas makes this 4 hole stretch very challenging. The overall layout is very solid and the greens were rolling quite fast for the first week of May.
The staff are always friendly here and their overall course conditions are very good. Great value and a very good track makes this a great choice to play if you're in the area.

I have played many times and will be back again. I wish they could identify where to aim your tee shot on a couple of blind tee shots. I think it would speed up play.

6 hr round...shish...
Slow play from 1st tee to 18th hole. Not sure what was going on but no crowd control? 6 hour round. Nice course but probably won't do it again. Sorry.

Beautiful course
I have played this course many times and for good reason. The first time can be a bit tricky, not knowing the layout, but you will want to come back. Nice layout, scenic views, abundant wildlife; there really isn't much to dislike about this course, other than maybe the pace of play. And that is only because it is challenging. You may lose a few balls out here. Yet, it is a very woman friendly course. Overall, I would highly recommend Devil's Ridge to anyone.

Great fall views and Greens
This course is tough for a novice player . A lot of dogleg holes, I think one was even a par three (ha ha)
Placement is very helpful ,And being part billy goat is also good. We had a great day!!!!
In very good condition
Course is in great condition. It is a little challenging but very fun to play. If I can find the right price I will play here over any other courses in my area.

I really like this course. It is usually in great condition. green were aerated so that's a problem. But it has to be done. So not faulting the course for that. Would definitely recommend to friends.
Over Booked, miss managed outings
First Expierence: Showed up for tee time and had 5 or 6 groups waiting to tee off ahead of us. Course admitted to messing up an outing and over booking. Left to play Boulder Pointe, which is managed way better.
Second Expierence: Made the turn at 10 and had 12 carts waiting to play hole. People were turning around to go play hole 1 again. Left after 9 holes and they refused to refund money for the second nine, would only give me a rain check for course I won't play again!

course was in great shape. really fun course. lots of elevation changes. well maintained. staff was really nice as well. definitely worth the drive to play there
