About
Stony Creek is part of the Huron-Clinton Metroparks system and many locals consider it to be one of its gems. There aren't any residences near the golf course, giving it a secluded feel and providing unhindered views from the elevated tees. The course opened in 1976 but underwent a major renovation that included re-sculpting the bunkers and reconditioning the entire golf course. The layout features several doglegs and a surprising amount of elevation changes. The fairways are tightly lined with trees and bunkers are strategically placed along the greensides and landing zones. There are also lakes and ponds that come into play on six holes on the front nine and three on the back. Stony Creek's par-3 17th is the most memorable water hole and the 14th is also notable for its tiny "postage stamp" green.

We had cart path only and it took three hours and fifteen minutes to play the front nine. Back Nike took two hours.
Preventative Maintence
Was given a cart that didn't move up hills and stalled out a few times. I would think they would have checked their carts before lining them up for customers to use. Have a preventative Maintence program each week and a checklist on each numbered cart.

Rain check policy
Ridiculous on rain check. No rain check after 3 holes of play? Paid for 18 holes played 6 got no money back nor rain check! What is up with that!
It rained 15 out 18 that’s how it goes.It worked out fine had fun
Good Course, Slow Play
All Metroparks are laid out well. Challenging and Fair. They are overbooked so expect a 5+ hour round
