About
Stony Creek is part of the Huron-Clinton Metroparks system and many locals consider it to be one of its gems. There aren't any residences near the golf course, giving it a secluded feel and providing unhindered views from the elevated tees. The course opened in 1976 but underwent a major renovation that included re-sculpting the bunkers and reconditioning the entire golf course. The layout features several doglegs and a surprising amount of elevation changes. The fairways are tightly lined with trees and bunkers are strategically placed along the greensides and landing zones. There are also lakes and ponds that come into play on six holes on the front nine and three on the back. Stony Creek's par-3 17th is the most memorable water hole and the 14th is also notable for its tiny "postage stamp" green.

Pretty nice course
Layout was nice. Downfall was it was cart path only for carts and a lot of standing water but that's to be expected the day after we got 4" of rain. I'm a newbie so other then that I really can't speak much of that course.
Pace
Course in beautiful shape and the pace of play was excellent! Not sure if we got lucky but it was 18 in 4 hours.
Need some TLC on Tee Boxes.

Practice Round
Great course to practice. It is not a challenging course but it is in very good shape and the staff is very good. Nice place to play and practice
Great Golf Course
Great course but it would be even better if we didn't have to pay to get into the park just to play golf. Adds the extra cost to the total fees.
Immaculate conditions
Very friendly staff, little bit of traffic on the course but very well kept for the price. Overall experience 10/10

Very nice layout and very good pace of play . The way golf was meant to be played!
Golf in nature
The course is very interesting with a wide variety of hole layouts. And nature and animals everywhere.
6 hours for 18 holes
Played 6 hours to finish 18th hole. It was not the first time I have felt this course does not manage the pace. Others were okay, but the playing pace here makes player feel tired everytime.
I’d rather quit golf than play here again
DO NOT PLAY HERE. They overbook like crazy where every round takes ~7 hours. The course is nothing special at all, do not waste your money or time here.
We'll be back.

Hot Golf
I My wife and teed off around 1 p.m. and practically had the course to ourselves to do the high temperatures. Today's high was 90.
