Stony Creek Golf Course
About
Stony Creek is part of the Huron-Clinton Metroparks system and many locals consider it to be one of its gems. There aren't any residences near the golf course, giving it a secluded feel and providing unhindered views from the elevated tees. The course opened in 1976 but underwent a major renovation that included re-sculpting the bunkers and reconditioning the entire golf course. The layout features several doglegs and a surprising amount of elevation changes. The fairways are tightly lined with trees and bunkers are strategically placed along the greensides and landing zones. There are also lakes and ponds that come into play on six holes on the front nine and three on the back. Stony Creek's par-3 17th is the most memorable water hole and the 14th is also notable for its tiny "postage stamp" green.

Very nice course
Wasn't sure what to expect going in but it is a tough course. Very well kept. rough was a little long in spots but still playable. Will play again
Great place
Played as a single, multiple groups let me play through it was fantastic.
Over 5 Hour Round
Nice course, over booked tee times, over 5 hour round. No rangers for pace of play. Do not recommend.
Slow play!!!
Paid for 18 and left after 7’holes !!!! Pace of
Play horrible and waste of money. Lines at every tee box. 3 group minimum line each hole. Never going back.
Stoney Creek
Always love fall golf! Course was in good shape. We played from senior tees and won't apologize or be embarrassed.
Nice course, terrible course management
Had booked a tee time for 10:30, didn’t start until 11. Waited on every shot and could not get into a good rhythm because of it. It is a beautiful course with very difficult greens. Would have been a better experience if it wasn’t a 6 hour round due to overbooked tee times. I heard they are notorious for overbooking , so beware.
Always fun
Understandable from the rain but a lot of standing water. It’s still a fun layout, love the course.
Nice course
Everything was fine except our cart was very sluggish. Course in good shape well kept. I'll play there again
Nice layout but some condition issues.
It had been many years since I played this course. One thing I forgot was that you have to pay a park entrance fee of $10. I hate it when you have to read the fine print. Golf Now should hilite this so its not a surprise. This is a really nice layout with great scenery. The bad news is many of the tees were in terrible shape. Lots of ground under repair in the fairways.. Greens were horribly slow and in soso condition. frankly the worse i have played this season in SE MI. Staff was nice and pace of play was good.
Stony Creek
Due to the heat there not many players so we played in a little over three hours. Course was good and greens were great but tough to read
One of my favorite courses
Golf now should do something about the entrance fee to the park
