Hudson Mills Metro Park

The course was in excellent condition. The greens were fast and challenging. Pace of play was a little slow.

My first time to Hudson Mills GC and I was Extremely Impressed. Well groomed with water and amenities at the T boxes. Must say the Metro Park courses are,First Rate at a very Good Price!!

It's a pretty boring course layout, especially the front 9. There's not a lot of sand traps. There's only one water hazard (10th tee) and unless you shank a drive, it's really not a factor. 13 and 14 are long par 5's where you have to be accurate off the tee or you're likely ending up in the woods. Neither is really an eagle opportunity unless you kill the ball, and can play a draw/fade well as they're both doglegs. The hardest part of this course is probably the long par 3's, 16 in particular. There's a couple greens where you have to know where to miss, as the slope will take your ball off. You will shoot very well here as it's 6500 from the tips.

My biggest gripe about the pace (besides the 8 minute intervals) is the 16th hole. By the time you've finally created distance between the groups around you, they throw a 237 yard par 3 towards the end to just torture everyone. Now you're waiting 20 minutes for the group ahead of you to complete the hole. It's a hole that just about everyone is going to bogey (or worse) unless you're a skilled golfer. Even the green has a ton of slope.

With what's nearby I can't say that I would recommend going out of my way to play Hudson Mills. But if you're able to jump on and play the course on a not-so-busy day (be warned: 8 minute tee intervals, this place can get backed up) you'll have a good time on the course.

This course is very nice in terms of pace, condition and so on. I totally recommend this course someone who doesn’t play here yet!!

We played 9 at Hudson Mills golf course and enjoyed ourselves. The course is in great shape. We did wait on several holes but the weather was perfect so we didn’t mind.

A real nice course. (I played with my wife), but not lady friendly. #16, a par 3, I putted the ball and it stopped 8 inches short of the hole then rolled back off the green, I have to say that was unfair. However overall it’s a real nice course.

I will be back with the buddies.

This is an excellent public course that gives you everything you'd want for the price. The greens are in better shape than some of the private courses I've seen, and the fairways are also well taken care of. The back nine brings you through some beautiful scenery, so if you aren't a great golfer (like me) you can just relax and focus on the trees :)

Nice metropark course. Conditions great for a relatively cheap price, with friendly staff. Good variety in holes, some tree slimed others in a meadow like area. I play this course once a week, and would recommend.
