Par 4 fourth hole. Long and slightly uphill with a tree hanging over in the so called fairway. One of the few holes I enjoyed playing. Photo submitted by BuffaloBen15 on 10/26/2020
Golfer Reviews
A great course for someone new to golf or someone who wants a good deal
The course isn’t in great condition by any means but, for people who aren’t picky it’s a solid course. The grass looked healthy and the greens were very nice and very soft. The fairways were more like low ruff and the tee boxes need a little love but overall good place to come to shoot a good score and not lose many balls .
Played 2 holes in one hour
Maple Lanes does not care about tee times. Even at the busiest times if you show up they will let you on which clogs the entire course
For some reason they got outlook tee times messed up with different courses in their system. Took us 6hrs to get through 18 holes. Also, they went up in price a lot since last year. For that kind of course it's shouldn't be nearly $40 normally. Thr only reason I got it was because of a hot deal. Used to play it regularly but it's not worth the regular price.
Not a bad course if everything else is booked
I booked the course on a Saturday for an early Sunday tee time and there we a lot of openings. Fairly well run. The fairways were hard as a rock but the greens were actually better than expected for a public course. And if you don't like bunkers, you are in luck because there are none.
This course has nothing to wish for. Poorly maintained fairways, or better to say non existent. Bathroom from horror movies, tipped over objects, trash all over the place. Tees that are not marked , you have no idea at which tee you are currently on. Experience to forget for sure.
4th of July
Had a great time, very busy for the holiday. It’s an every man course, I don’t expect it to be pristine. It’s much less uptight than some courses I’ve played, but with that comes the downside of massive amounts of regular beer drinking joes, which is fun but sometimes you want them to chill out a bit. All it all it’s a blast every time I go, I almost always meet people and I don’t feel like I have to act a certain way. Course condition was a little dry, lots of spots of dead grass, but it’s a huge property to maintain.
Too cramped
Too many holes crammed into the course. The layout is boring, lacking creativity or enough trees to keep balls from other holes landing on your fairway…which happened all day.
Great value
Well-kept, and nice layout, but with tee times so close together, the pacing is always off. I’m waiting for people ahead or someone is right behind me. The value for 18 is unbeatable though!
course is mediocre shape
the course played like it hasn't been mowed for days. I had a hard time finding my ball in the fairways. The greens were not consistent.
But, It was a great day for golf no matter the course condition.
Can’t beat playability
The staff and course with pace provide a fabulous overall experience. The facility provides everything you could ever want to have fun and enjoy a round of golf.
The Fairways Are a TRAIN WRECK!
Oh my god! Maple Lane! Where are your FAIRWAYS!?!? All of them were patchy and long and brown and every other adjective you can use to describe a substandard fairway. I paid 20 bucks to walk after school on Monday and I just wanted to play somewhere that I could finish before dark and I know this is a short course so I decided on it. I like a couple of the holes, such as the 440 par 4 fourth, and the par 5 18th up the hill with a bunch of bunkers in the driving zone. Those holes are fun and tough, but most of the holes were kind of boring. Just flat, few bunkers, (the bunkers they do have are not filled enough and rock hard), and it’s like playing on a dusty field on those fairways. Even though it’s cheap, spare your money and play somewhere else unless you have a league here or something, and move the league.
