Course in rough shape

Every part of the course showed wear from play and poor management. Greens were both burned and over watered. Greens were fast and true if you hit good grass and the shame of the course is that you can see the true beauty and potential for a great track. The layout, rolling fairways, and greens all give this course tremendous potential. If they can fix the greens this course is an A+.

overall the course was in good shape.....greens cut way to close very very fast....if you don't have gps or have never played here before you'll find only one ball washer on the course and no indication of what the hole does...no signage. also no bathrooms or water on the course.

If you find a Hot Deal, play. If not, don't.

This course can be a stern test of every facet of your game. It can play rather long, especially from the tips. It can play rather narrow, with lakes/marshes/lateral/O.B. lurking on seemingly every tee shot. And the greens more often than not, even after rain softens the course, play firmer than expected for some reason and can putt ridiculously quick with tons of break. That being said, if that's the kind of test you're looking for, then by all means give it a shot once in awhile. But if that's not quite your cup of tea, then you'll save yourself hours of frustration and countless golf balls by skipping it entirely. The conditions of this course used to be much better maybe 5-10 years ago (albeit most courses this year suffered "winter burn"), but quite frankly if you're making the drive to this area of town, you'll be much better served driving an extra 1/2 mile up the road to a certain course that I'll refrain from naming that has an apple in its logo because it far exceeds anything you'll find here.

Rough shape

The course has a nice layout but is in rough shape. The greens are very beat up, and the fairways spotty. For a mid-price course, I would have expected more.

Always a great course

You can definitely use the hills to your advantage on this course, however its a pain to hit off of them. The course was in great shape but the greens were extremely fast. My friends told me they were like glass this year and they really were. It was fun because its different than neighboring courses greens but definitely got irritating at times haha. Overall, great course and I will for sure play again.

Needs Work

Have played here many times. The staff was the most friendly/helpful I have ever encountered at this course. However, the course itself was in very rough shape.

Below average green and range conditions

The green conditions have slowly deteriorated over the season. Much of this has can be contributed to players not repairing their ball marks! Come on, people!! The driving range however, is a different story: it was a combination of crab grass and sand, and in poor condition. Overall the course is challenging and a good value for the money.

No food

The corse is under new management/ownership. There is no food service or very little if you consider chips and candy bars food. Beverage cart is new to course but poorly stocked and only seen 1 x during our round. Friendly young people taking bags and carts. Bring your own snacks Course ok condition. Some holes still under repair (hole8) but over great time

`Nice layout but room for improvement.

The front nine is extremely tight as you can talk to homeowners sitting in their backyards from the fairway without having to raise your voice. Homes are a little too close for comfort in my opinion. One mis-hit shot and you could easily break a window...in which the course has signs posted that golfers are responsible for any and all property damage caused.

The back nine has a nice layout and is more open than the front. It was a little more challenging and was more enjoyable to play than the front. My only complaint would be the maintenance. The 15th hole was the worst as you could see where they re-sodded and it was not very well cared for. The edges of each sod roll were dying and it looked like a 50 yard patch of brick pavers. The edges of most of the greens were surrounded by 2 feet of aeration holes and the centers weren't really in the greatest condition. Divots haven't been replaced and some fairways really look in sorry condition.

This review is pointing out the bad but this is not the whole story. At the discounted price point, this is not a bad course. I did enjoy the round but I my opinion would be different if I had paid full price. This is not a bad course at $34 a round on a Saturday morning. If I had paid the regular price of $50 a round, I would have had many more complaints...

Greens need improvement

Understanding that the course is under new ownership, the course layout is great and improvements are noticeable. That being said, I quit playing there last year because of the condition of the greens. The staff there needs to understand that the term "greens" normally mean that there is grass on them. They are bare and cut to the point that they do not hold shots from any distance and are severely fast to the point that they are unplayable for the average golfer. I have played there 4 times this year in hope that they were improving. I'm not playing there again until the greens are green.

Great , fun and challenging

From what I keep hearing and saw for myself is that the course is only getting better. Greens are coming along and are fast. Fairways were in great shape. Little lengthy on the round but 5 hrs on a holiday isnt really that bad.
I'll be back
