Good small town midwestern course tucked in a park-like setting. The course was empty mid-day mid-week and I finished in 1:30.
Course was in good condition, tee boxes were small, some were more beat up than others. Greens were dry and balls were bouncing off. Fairways were cut short, greens were cut short, rough was long enough to punish you but not too long where you weren't finding your ball.
Short at only 6100 from the tips. Only a par 70 (front is a par 34). Tree-lined holes and a few doglegs meant that the course favored target golf over distance off the tee. Several crowned greens, some with bunkers. No fairway bunkers on the course outside of one hole. Water doesn't really come into play. The only significant hazard is getting in the trees.
Love this course
Play here often. Nice course. Need a beverage cart though
Mosquito City
We love this course but won’t be back until the Mosquitos die off. It was so bad that we were approached by other golfers asking us for Mosquito spray.
By so bad, I’m talking constantly flailing, swatting, and enduring bites on both hands while trying to putt.
Oak lanes
nice course, just wish the rough on some of the holes on the back 9 was shorter. Its realy thick and hard to hit out of.
3 holes under water couldn't play. Coures put Boys high school team off back nine in front of play making the turn.not much fun.
Great Course to work on control and accuracy.
Great conditions for early April. Not a bombers course, target golf is your friend here. Many par 4’s you can leave driver in the bag. Narrow tree lined fairways make it a challenge. Greens were in good shape and I expect them to be even better as the weather warms up. Friendly staff. Definitely will be back.
Course was in great shape. Greens were in mid-season shape..... pristine!
Great spring play
First course to play this season. Didn’t know what to expect for a small town course, but it was a beautiful round! Well maintained, variety of layout, great value. Can’t wait to go back!
Golf
Price was right! Course was in bad shape, leaves all over the place. Normally it's in excellent shape
Maybe because it just opened
Fun course with great people
Oak lane is fun and affordable. Very friendly staff. Greens roll well and can be scoreable. The layout doesn’t call for 300 yard drives. So try to play the fairway..but you’ll still occasionally lose a ball that you absolutely know should be on the fairway lol
This course needs to be sold
The course overall is in good shape, the greens are fast and well kept, the fairways are in good shape most of the time, the rough is quite thick resulting in lost balls and poor strikes. The people running the course are not friendly at all and very un accommodating. I wouldn’t play this course on the weekend.
Oak Lane
This is a great course. The greens are great. Well maintained. Ray and the staff are fantastic people and do a great job with the amenities and the course maintenance.
