Ridiculous rough
It’s been a while since I last played here. A friend mentioned that the rough was long. For a nice muni the rough was nearly unplayable. Lost 3 balls that I thought I watched pretty well. Staff apologized when I signed in. A mower had been out of service. Greens were in outstanding shape. Putted straighter than I would have believed possible. It’s a nice, playable course.
Fun course, painfully slow round
Before I get into the issues, I'll say I really enjoyed the layout, it's challenging but fair. The fairways and greens are in perfect shape. The food and drinks are very reasonably priced.
Unfortunately, the pace of play was not acceptable. It took 3 hours to play the front 9, and just over 2.5 hours on the back. Several holes there were 2 and even 3 groups on the tee. This alone makes it hard to say if we'll be back. I know every course wants to maximize the amount of tee times and thus money made, but 8-minute gaps between tee times is never a great idea if your goal is to make the player experience the best it can be.
Also, I know we got a fair amount of rain mid-week, but the conditions of the rough was a bit over the top. A ball just off the fairway or green on most holes was hard to even find, let alone play. This also contributed to the pace of play issue. Played another course in the area the day before where the rough had been recently mowed, so it's not like it was so wet that mowing was impossible.
Lastly, while not a huge issue, we wanted to play the back tees, but on several holes had to play in front of the markers or from the whites due to the markers being so far back on the tee box, your back foot would be in the rough or there were overhanging branches that need to be trimmed to make the hole playable from the tips.
Hopefully, some of these issues are addressed going forward, because it really is a fun, nice course.
A quiet golf course
The golf course was nice because I could enjoy the play without any interference. The grass was not bad either. Overall, it was good.
In good shape
The course was in good shape for this time of the year. Of course the greens were not as fast as they will be in another month. All in all it was good to play golf in March!!
Off the beaten path challenge
This course offers numerous challenges... water, elevated greens as well as ones below. Open and crowded greens. Well paced greens also. I definitely make my way back when the leaves are on the trees. 👍🏾
Great course
Good for all different skill levels, the better I get the more fun I have here
Course conditions
They let the ruff grow out so long if you hit it 3ft off the fairway it’s crap shoot if you’ll find it. Book a 752am tee off and was told have an outing coming in at 9. I wish be a way for golf now and the course to not schedule tee times while outings are going on.

We apologize for the length of the rough. We were hit by a severe storm just days before leaving us without power for 3 days. The crew did all they could to try to get the rough mowed down.
Very good track
Have played here 3 times this year and thouraghly enjoy it every time greens are true and hold shots very well somewhat undulating but not bad not alot of water or trouble if you can stay in the fairway and even the rough is not too penal all and all a very nice place
High Quality Golf Course
I’ve been playing this course for 15 years and the course has never been in better shape. You can tell the staff is truly caring about the course by the way they roll the greens, cut sharp edges on the cups, and repair ball marks before the next day of play. This has been a course I’ve loved because of the layout, but now I can include the quality of course maintenance. Truly recommend playing this course at least once, you won’t regret it!
