Very good track
Have played here 3 times this year and thouraghly enjoy it every time greens are true and hold shots very well somewhat undulating but not bad not alot of water or trouble if you can stay in the fairway and even the rough is not too penal all and all a very nice place
High Quality Golf Course
I’ve been playing this course for 15 years and the course has never been in better shape. You can tell the staff is truly caring about the course by the way they roll the greens, cut sharp edges on the cups, and repair ball marks before the next day of play. This has been a course I’ve loved because of the layout, but now I can include the quality of course maintenance. Truly recommend playing this course at least once, you won’t regret it!
Always Enjoy This Course
I always enjoy playing Oak Lane. This par 70 course has its fair share of tree-lined fairways and super fast greens that roll true. Let me reiterate that last point. My tee time was just before 7:30am so they greens hadn't dried out yet and they were still lightning fast! Even as a mid/high handicap player, I had a blast on them! If you've never played here, I would strongly recommend that you give it a try.
Great value
Not long but in great shape with some interesting holes.
Hidden Gem
This course is tucked away but the course conditions are perfect. Nice greens and fairways. Pace of play average since there were walkers on front 9 but picked up on back 9. Holes are straight with some narrow. Staff is friendly. Great course for intermediate golfers who are trying to improve their game and have a get right round. Great value for the price. Trees on course make it feel like up north Michigan golfing.
Excellent hidden gem
This course is truly a hidden gem my friend and I said several times it felt like being in a video game with the scenery!
Excelent Course and value
First time playing this course and I enjoyed it so much I stayed to play a third nine. Layout was a little tight but not too penal sand was a little heavy but very clean not too much water all in all a very pleasant experiance and will certainly play here again
Great value course for beinner
You can't beat $13 to walk 9 holes. The course is in great condition. Very friendly staff. Fairways and greens are more than manageable to hit on the front 9. A couple doglegs but definitely not target practice.
My only real drawback is the 8-minute tee time intervals. After the 3rd hole we were waiting on every shot on a crowded course. With that said, I hope to make Oak Lane a regular twilight course.
Tee times were running about 50 minutes late due to lack of carts. Staff said six carts were under repair. Regardless, if there were a lack of carts, staff should have adjusted their tee time schedules. Very disappointed for initial visit.
I'm not sure if I'll golf this course again, especially since it is an hour drive.
Course in great condition.
The course was in great condition, the greens are always smooth and fast. It is a good test for the super senior golfer.
