Great Diversity of Shots
I am local to the course and have played it several times. I may have a soft spot for the course but I always enjoy it. Played a quick 9 in the middle of the day so pace of play was great. Made it around in 1:45 and spent 6 holes behind a threesome.
I played the front 9 which has a diverse style of holes - a few straight shots, a few dog legs and water in play on several holes (holes 5-7 are great right along Middle Straits Lake).
In general, great conditions. The course lies low so always very green but can get very wet after a heavy rain. No issues while we were playing. A couple par-three tee boxes definitely had their wear and tear but that is expected this late in a busy season.
Hot dog gets high remarks - not one of the cheap ones you see at some courses. Bev cart came around on hole 8 so we were already set for the 9 hole round but wasn't expecting to see the bev cart on a mid-week afternoon tee time.
Definitely not a long course with only two sets of tee boxes (golf around 6,300 yards and silver around 4,900 yards) but some strategic dog legs and lay outs of holes do make you use many of the clubs in your bag, which is what I like to do.
All in all, highly recommend playing the course!

Not anymore
I've liked this course all year... But weather has definitely ruined it.
I played the day of the blast rainstorm before the rain... The course was damaged already, but after the last storm there's no way its playable any time soon.
The greens were still good, slow, but good shape considering how soft they are....
Cart path only is going to last a long time here. Its super soggy. Its not returning to normal this year but the course seems to keep upping prices even though quality is going down.
I like golf... I like spending the day outside. I dont like needing multiple shoes and socks to be comfortable. You literally sink into some areas.
Sand traps? They're actually amazing. Replaced the sand recently with really nice beach sand.
Too soggy... Prices don't reflect course conditions.

The course was way overbooked. Had to wait about 10-15 minutes before teeing off every hole. Grass also needed some maintenance, could not find any balls that deviated the slightest bit off the fairway.

Fairways and greens above average
Old style course with greens and tees tight together and only two boxes . Conditions very good even after a lot of rain. Bunkers maintained and power raked.
