Bluff Creek Golf Course

The staff is really friendly and accomodating, the course is great, GPS on the carts is a wonderful tool to help with scoring. A really beautiful and fun layout. Some challenging shots but pretty generous fairways and lots of chances to score. Nothing about it feels too hard or unfair, but it's not a pushover either. The greens are nice and true, with some challenge.

It's a little out of my way but I play this course about once or twice a year, and I always enjoy my round here.

Good course, have fun playing. Tried to buy some lunch at the turn. Waited 10 minutes while they served the person in front of me. Three other employees in the clubhouse, but too busy talking. Not even an acknowledgement. Will not be doing that again.

Overall a solid course. Great value and a variety of holes that offer a challenge throughout the 18 holes.

Challenging and forgiving. A fun course that can forgive a poor shot just as quickly as not. The back nine is nicely balanced, the front is just fun.

As for #12, grrr or wow, depends how accurate you are. I would be okay with that hole revamped.

Course is in good condition - fun to play but still very challenging.

This course is not ultra long but has its challenging shots. Multiple tees would make it enjoyable for those of all skill levels. Conditions were excellent for $32 I paid. Green were in above Average condition and best of all temp was below 82. If for no other reason that's a winner for someone from Texas.

I have played Bluff Creek a couple of other times and left feeling the same way I have the other times. Who designed this course? There are a number of blind shots and a few too many shots where if you miss the green by two yards your ball rolls out of bounds where you cannot even see the OB from the fairway. I would list each hole where this happens but I am sure I would run out of space to keep track of them all. The course conditions were just OK but on a positive note the staff was very friendly and accommodating and the beer was cheap compared to other courses close by. I do not think I will try this course again and would recommend this course for fellas who want to take their gals out in hopes of turning them off on the game of golf! Sorry to be so harsh but this course could possibly be the worst design in the history of golf courses. The gentleman I played with and myself agreed they ought to be paying us to play their course.

It rained alittle the day we played, but over all the course was in great shape. Heavy rough, fast and hard greens, some trees, some water. Its a tough track from the blue tees, and if you haven't played it before,you may want to start at the whites. They have gps carts and that helped. Good layout, with most of the greens haveing some slope in them, so you need to be on the right side of the hole.

This is another course I play several times per year. Staff is always warm and welcoming. Course is maintained to a quality standard. Doesn't play too difficult either.

Nice layout, however, it has its challenges. Some blind shots and elevation changes. Course management comes in to play on several holes. Hole #5 should be re-done! Unfair to any golfer regardless of handicap!!

This course is extremely convenient for those in the Southwest Suburbs and they know it! Because of that, you will regularly pay $50+ for 18 holes at a course that is under construction, barely kept in playing shape, and gets overly busy and backed up on weekends. The course itself is fairly easy with very little water, but has it's challenges on a few holes as well. If you need somewhere close to home, aren't looking for pristine conditions, and are willing to pay for the convenience than this course will work for you.

It was very enjoyable day. Golf course was in good shape and it played longer because of the wind and soft ground. Good value for this course.

I thought this course was well maintained with a fair amount of challenges. Nothing really exciting to set it apart from other courses.

There was a long, slow line to pay your green fee. There was no starter. Two groups showed up late and expected to go off before those of us who were on time. C'mon Bluff Creek, on Saturday morning I expect you to be more organized.

The course was in very good condition and play was not slow.

Course nice enough but 4:45 for 18 not good. We waited on every shot. Get an effective ranger!

Tried to pay for our round but was told rudely to wait. She wasn't doing anything and there were others waiting also.

An argument among the pro shop staff broke out after our round and the voices were loud. The environment felt hostile.

Hot days and no beverage cart and the water jugs were empty--all of them!

No ranger to move play along. Players driving their carts on fringes of greens.

Not a fun experience for our group.

The course was great. The grounds keepers were nearly invisible and the speed of play was just right. We played in just 4 hours. My only complaint would be the sand traps. The sand is too much like gravel and hard packed. But we're not supposed play in there anyway.

Pace of play was horrible. Fivesomes... toddlers... golfers who hit a tee shot 200 yards but sit and wait for the green to clear then hit their 3W 50 yards on a 480Yd Par 5 are some of the specimens found here. Course is in good shape.

From a golf standpoint, it was tremendous. Challenging layout, tight fairways, lots of elevation changes, well-manicured greens. I would tell anyone to come out and play it.

BUT...

The pace of play was HORRENDOUS. First off, they didn't have enough carts by 10:40am. As a result, we got off 20 mins late and the backlog lasted all over the course. 3:15 in and we were standing on 12 tee...waiting behind a groip while another group was in the fairway. Inexcusable. The scorecard said that corrective measures would be taken but I never saw any close to being implemented. We had to leave after 13 holes and by that point, we were at 4 hours. I know it's a Saturday in the summer but if I was back here for another weekend, I would hesitate to come out because of the scar of this pace of play.

Again, great golf course...very enjoyable to play. But the pace made turtles feel like Speedy Gonzales.

This course had some challenges but overall it was a fun course to play. Not many hazards to contend with but several dog legs so it strategic to go for it or lay up. Great chef in the kitchen so be sure to plan lunch before or after the round.
