Nice small town course
Course is kept up nicely and was in good shape. These small town golf courses are hard to keep open and staffed. Nice layout and fair. Price was right. $27 with a cart on a beautiful day. Too good to pass up that chance.
Waste of time
Course greens were horrible, multiple dead spots, bumpy and no well maintained. Fairways were like the rough at any other course and the rough was like a jungle and would take forever finding balls. Would never play here again
Nice track
It’s a very pretty setting, a lot of trees, maintained, the greens are a little slow but fun and recommended for this area. You don’t want to walk it or you’ll be retracing your steps, because now I understand the comments on a weird layout. The holes are not strange, the layout of some of the holes are distant between. Not a big deal if you follow the directions painted on the cart paths. Staff and members I ran into were both friendly.
Great course!
I had went shortly after it had rained so definitely need to give them the benefit of the doubt. Even with that being said, the course was well maintained and just the right amount of challenging for an amateur! It’s a little far from the Twin Cities but worth the drive. I will definitely be going back!
Six holes were closed
I did not know until I got to the course at six holes were closed due to water and the pace was very slow. I wouldn’t have paid half this much had I known that. The holes that were open were OK but some we’re also very flooded
It was not worth the cost and the long drive
Course was in exceptional condition for 3/3/24. The speed of puts was very consistent. Sand traps were being filled in so we didn’t play out of them. We walked and it wasn’t wet and spongy as some are early in the season. My only complaint was the layout as it was a little confusing at times as it was our first time playing it. We’ll be back once there are leaves on the trees.
Glencoe CC has a great staff
Decent course; strange layout; very nice greens; nice guy running the clubhouse. We had a great time and we were done in 3 hours and 40 minutes on a Sunday afternoon.
