Missaukee Golf Course
About
Missaukee Golf Club is located between Lake City and McBain, just a few minutes from the beautiful downtown district of Cadillac. At 6,045 yards from the back tees, the course is player friendly enough for golfers of all skill levels. The golf course sprawls across gently rolling hills dotted with a mix of hardwoods that give it a true northern Michigan feel. This forgiving layout lacks the tougher features that are characteristic of some of the area's most popular courses and provides a more approachable round for beginners. There are five ponds and a small creek that come into play throughout. Missaukee Golf Club is a wide open course that is player friendly enough for the weekend hacker, but there are still a few challenges in store with the water hazards and also several strategically placed bunkers.

5th green. Toughest par four on the course even at only 325. You have only about a 25 yard window on your tee shot to get to a spot in the fairway to have a clear shot at the green. Anything left on this hole is instant death and a sure penalty. Photo submitted by u314161955381 on 12/27/2022

8th green. You can get very close to driving the green if you catch a driver right on the button, possibly even on if the wind is with you, but you have to carry more water than you think. Photo submitted by u314161955381 on 12/27/2022

9th green. The toughest par four on the course after hole 5. Again, you have to hit your tee shot far enough to the corner but too far means you'll go through the fairway. Green slopes SEVERELY from back left to front right. Photo submitted by u314161955381 on 12/27/2022

10th hole. A beautiful par three down the hill with a green that plays smaller than it looks. Choosing the right club on this tee shot is vital. Photo submitted by u314161955381 on 12/27/2022

18th Fairway. This might not be a long finishing hole at only 321, but you need to be aware of the two fairway bunkers which are tough to carry with a driver and cut fairly far into the fairway. Photo submitted by u314161955381 on 12/27/2022
Relaxing Round
This was a nice course to play after playing up North with some of the courses that are very arduous. Instead of being in some sand trap or woods if I was 10 yd off the green I have a nice recovery shot so it was nice to get into an environment that was a little more friendly to my game. Of course was a little bit out of our way but worth the time .
A+ staff
Missaukee is a fun and well maintained course. I’ve played here a few times now and will be back often. The staff are all friendly and exceptionally accommodating. It had rained yesterday early but the sun had been out for about an hour. All the carts were completely dried off and this detail didn’t go unnoticed. The folks in the shop are always smiling and ready to help. Great experience, keep up the good work!
Fun course!
Got a hot deal for 25$ and this course is worth every dollar. Very fun course, nice tee boxes, nice fair greens, and well cut fairways.
Would golf it again if I lived near
Fun Course
For someone getting into golf, this course offers a layout that can be challenging but also still beginner friendly depending on what tees they decide to play from. Really nice mix of straight on holes to dog leg holes. Never have a bad time when Im here.
Good Condition
The course was in pretty good condition for this time of year. The greens were in great shape and fair. The rough, 2nd cut, was in need of a little mowing but we have had rain all week. The course was a little windy today - lost 2 balls struck well on the first tee because just didn't see them - vanished in the sky!
Fun course
The course is short, however if you want a challenge the the back tees at 6,000 yards might be your thing.
My second round here, and enjoyed it both times, will return someday.
Beautiful golf course
We played on a perfect weather day. I have read reviews that said this course was to short for them. Well I loved the course. I am not a long distance hitter.so it didn''t feel short to me. I will be back. 1:15 minutes from Midland.
Solid Little Course
Solid little course that I was surprised how good it was. Course is short, but kept in very good shape. Course gets a lot of play as there are not many options around.
Recommend playing the course if in the area.
Nice Little Course
Missaukee is a nice little course for the average golfer. Folks are friendly and the price is right.
Nice place
It's a great course to be a member, not very expensive and easy to get onto. The Misses likes it because it's not real demanding. She's played some nice Donald Ross courses, which I prefer but she likes Missaukee.
Nice course
Course was in pretty good conditions and the staff were really helpful and friendly. Pace of play was slow but only due to being the holiday weekend. Only water jug was on hole 10 which considering it was 90* outside is problematic for those who didn’t bring their own. Would definitely play again.
Well groomed
A really fun course. It was good to get some confidence on the many short par 4s.
Staff and golfers were friendly.
