Timber Creek Golf Course

Course was in good shape, the greens rolled nice, and the pace was pretty fast for a busy day.

Despite the rain that had fallen, we thoroughly enjoyed our time. This is a very nice course. Should be even better on a sunny day.

Timber Creek has become my go-to golf course. The price you pay to play 18 is a fantastic deal. Course is in pretty good shape, there are a couple of places that could be improved but it’s still a little early in the year.

Nice course to play. Easy to get on, good prices, and they treat you well!

This place over books! Slow play! Greens were unrolled and too long. I booked a 2 pm tee time and the had a men’s scramble at 4. Plus we had people who just walked on. Stupid...

My friend and I were paired up with two other singles. They often drive their cart in front of our balls so when we hit it became dangerous almost hitting them. One person was crabby and seemed to be in an extreme hurry and never wanted to wait. I have been golfing since I was 5 and I play at a pretty good pace. This person quit after 15 holes which was odd. That made the round not so great when we were looking for a nice 18 holes of golf. Disappointed in the person that was paired up with us and not sure if we would come back after that experience.

Confusion layouts hole to hole, tight fairways with overlap greens, need better cart path markings and tee boxes.

I had a 10:30AM tee time. Couldn’t tee off until after 11:00 because they were so far behind. No frost delay or anything. Just poor decision to let groups off 10 tee and not make room for them as they made the turn.

i really like Timber Creek. One of the courses on our regular rotation. Interesting layout, well tended, available tee times and friendly staff.

However, last Saturday, two foursomes really slowed everyone down. The foursome in front of us made us wait every, single, shot. Tough to shoot well when you can't get a rhythm. They were well over a hole behind the foursome in front of them who were 3 holes behind as well. 3 holes! So we were 4+ holes behind where we should have been by the end of the round. Waiting every shot. They would clear the green, we'd hit second shots, chip, putt and they still wouldn't have completed teeing off. Hole after hole. Argggh.

A staff member did come out and speak with them on the front 9 and it got a little better for a couple holes. He said they had regulars in their group and they should know better. That lasted two holes then right back to super-slow through 18.

This isn't typical, but do know it's possible.

Big need? A water fountain. They don't have water on the course so you need water to start and at the turn. But they don't have a fountain, so you have to wait for the staff to fill your bottles from the sink. The staff is nice about it, but it holds things up. Only course I know without a fountain or filtered water or something.

first time I played the course was today and it had a nice layout a few quirky holes on the back side and front side very narrow Fairways you have to be able to drive the ball straight. they can really make that a great course if it was just manicured a little bit better the bunkers were a little nicer Fairways Defined more. could have been a very fun day of golf however the pace of play was incredibly slow and even after something was said to the staff no Marshalls or anybody to speed up play. There was three of us behind for twosomes that literally took an half an hour to play each hole. picked up my ball and call it quits after 14 holes as it was just agonizingly slow and like I said wish somebody would have came out and sped up play

I have been playing this course on and off for about 10 years. This year the improvement with the new ownership is astounding. The greens today were some of the best I have played anywhere and I play all over MN. You can tell right away that the staff actually care what you think and they are not out to try scrape every dollar out of your wallet. I have been playing this track 2 or 3 times a month and I am more impressed each time. Loving this course and staff now!!

Enjoyed playirng 18 holes at Timber Creek. Pace of play was superb; never felt rushed or that our group was pushing those ahead of us. The greens were in very good shape with fair pin placements.

One of my favorite courses. Spacious yet challenging. Staff are very friendly and professional.

I really liked the course. The greens were very good and it is set up for all handicaps. This a good value.

I play Timber Creek around 10 times a year because it presents an excellent value, friendly staff and a well-maintained and challenging layout. The staff is especially friendly and helpful. Always enjoyable.

I was lucky to join a 3-some who were members. They guided me in the blind areas and lay of the land.

The course was in nice shape with good rolling greens. I really liked the layout. Nice elevation changes and just enough target golf to satisfy me. Wide enough so that if you don't hit it exactly straight you still don't lose a ball. The rough was a bit high so you had to look for your ball in it.

Some of the areas surrounding the playing part of the course needed some attention but as I was told by the people I played with, the owners have only had it for 3 years and it used to be really rough before that. I'm sure in the coming years they will address the beauty of the course.
