2 experiences
Front and back 9 are very different, yet fun and challenging. Beautiful clubhouse and friendly staff.
Best of both worlds
Zumbrota Golf Club offers 2 completely different playing styles between the front and back 9. The front 9 has a traditional layout with tight tree-lined fairways and the back 9 is in a links style format. Both front and back 9's will challenge you. Front 9 requires ball control as you can easily start adding strokes if you're caught in the trees, and the back 9 allows you a little more flexibility to grip it and rip it with open fairways (watch out for the bunkers). The greens on the back 9 also provide a unique challenge with tiers or undulations making putts interesting. Fun course to play with a great clubhouse. Unfortunately the bar and kitchen were closed due to COVID restrictions but they would be an excellent place to have a cold one after an amazing round. Had a great time at Zumbrota Golf Course.
The best of both worlds!
Zumbrota Golf Club has 2 entirely different styles between the front and back 9. Both of which will challenge you. The front 9 is traditional with tight tree lines fairways, and the back 9 is wide open with a links style. The 7 green and 8 tee box offer amazing views as does the 12 tee. Greens were in great shape for this early in the season. Zumbrota Golf Club offers an amazing golf experience.
Nice round
I played this course with a deal off golfnow that was too g9od to pass up. I would play this course again. It was all around a good round. Front 9 has a good layout but the back 9 gets a little corky and weird. But still all around good.
a tale of two nines
Zumbrota has a very old front nine with narrow fairways and small mounded greens...it is mostly lever and the grens roll at an average speed....then you get to the newer back nine wich is long and up and down hills with few trees but lots of native grasses....hard to find balls in the long grass...some very tough holes...fast greens with lots of undulations...hard to get used to the different greens
