This course was in great condition. We walked and it isn’t payed out for walkers.
Decent Nine Hole Course
Hadn’t been back at Ballwin in a very long time but saw some solid changes on its nine holes. Carts seemed to be decently new and a few tee boxes were redone. Not sure why but the greens were rock hard. Hardly any ball marks because of it! In fact, when we got to the third hole, a guy was out watering the next couple greens as they were so dry.
Fairways were nice and gave good lies. I remember there used to be a tree just to the right of the ninth green but it is gone now and makes for an easier tee shot. The course was crowded and led to a lot of waiting.
The rate to walk was $17 so we chose to do that. Most of the middle holes are pretty flat and easy to get around but there are a few, like holes 1 and 8, with hilly terrain that is a challenge to walk at times.
Sad
This course used to be the gem of nine hole tracks in St. Louis. No carts, dry ball washers, slow pace of play to mention a few.
Great course
The overall course was outstanding and the condition was execellent. We walked and had a little delay. The layout of the course is nice, but not very good for walkers.

This is a great nine hole course. Fantastic staff pro and courses always in good condition.
Disappointing course maintenance
Temperature was 84 and no drinking water on any of the holes, One would think that water would be available by Mid May. Additionally the fairway bunkers do not appear to be maintained at all. Granted there has been rain but this has been ongoing last year and now this season. Just fill in the fairway bunkers as most players pull ball out as ground under repair. Greens were in great shape!

This place is horrible
This place is an absolute downer. Showed up ten mins before 5:00 tee time and the guy would not give us a cart even though on the website it specifically said "cart not included in price, available for purchase at course." No where did it say "cart not available for this tee time." The reason for a tee time is so you can plan and play with who you want, right? They were going to put us with a random (who had no tee time and just showed up.) what kind of business is this? Turning down free money. Go golf anywhere else. This place is not worth your money. Plenty of other nicer courses that will gladly take my money.

Always in great shape. Fantastic 9 hole municipal track.
