Condition was not good due to rain preventing regular mowing of fairways. Greens were very slow but had plenty of grass. Played in 4:15 which was better than anticipated for a resort course.
Enjoyable Resort Community Course
I have driven by the Pointe Royale Golf Course for years while visiting Branson but had never played the course. I really enjoyed the layout and the fairways were great and the greens were good. The rough is wispy, spongy grass that swallows a golf ball making it difficult to find and hit your ball. Because this was my first time on the course, I found several of the tee shots to be a blind shot and wound up in this fluffy rough. Several of the holes have a 50 to 100 difference between the blue and white tees so I moved up to the white tees on a couple holes when I found the blind shot to be too menacing. All in all, I enjoyed the course and look forward to playing it again on a future trip to Branson.
course condition
2nd cut off fairways too penal had difficulty locating balls that were just off the fairway
Good value
Course was in great shape. Greens putted very true. Bunkers were well cared for but a little sparce for sand in the middle of the traps. Pace of play 4 1/2 hours.
Great course for the price
The course is in good condition and the greens run true. The ruff will punish you, but it is a fun course to play. The price is very competitive. I love playing it when we come to Branson.
Excellent Course Conditions
Challenging course layout, well maintained, wide fairways and fast greens, lots of fun
Pointe Royal
Course was in great shape. Quirky layout which made it a little challenging. Plays short from the Blues, but layout helps create shot selections, meaning allot of holes you may not use Driver. Pretty good deal if you can get a golf now hot deal like I did. I would NOT pay full price to play this course again. Young man that checked need in at the Pro Shop was very friendly and courteous.
Spend the extra $20 or $40 and go to a nicer course. You get what you pay for here... Garbage. (Scratch golfer review) we
This course and staff are low quality... I would highly recommend spending the extra $20-$30 and go to a higher end course. Got this course for $29 on golf now and was charged an additional $16 for my wife to simply ride in the cart? Upsurd.
I regret not paying more and going to Top of the Rock.
Interesting course
It was very hot out there, but they had nice and cold water on the course. Some of the hills to the greens are tough if you have a hard time walking. We had some slow play on the back, it was only 2 some, but were very slow. Lots of water hazards on the course.
Fun Course with Some Interesting Holes
Some of the holes were a little quirky, but overall the conditions were great, the greens rolled true with plenty of undulation and our group had a lot of fun playing. I would definitely play again when back in Branson.
Awesome Course
You can find a better course, but you would pay twice as much. It is challenging without being too difficult for the average golfer. It has beauty and beast. Loved this course
The staff was friendly and courteous. My 4 year old son and I played as a single and their was enough scenery to keep him occupied. The course played really short and their were quite a few blind shots which made things interesting. Overall I enjoyed the experience, and the price of 30 dollars which I got online was a real deal.
A great vacation course at a great price!
We were lucky enough to get four tee times at $29 per person in the touristy town of Branson. It did not disappoint!
Fun but bombarded
Greens have been ariated recently which made putting unreliable. Hold number 16 has a blind tee shot. We we're nearly hit by 3 tee shots while we waited for the group in front to move forward. Don't remember if there is a warning sign warning that it is a blind shot and to check ahead. Shots unnerved us enough we guite at that point.
What a Dud!!!
If you like golf go elsewhere. If you like overbooked short crooked blind shot crud green old style golf courses this is the track for you. Pace of play horrific. Holes are just uninteresting and poorly designed. No way to fix it either. Just not a good piece of land for a course. I’ll never go back.
The course is always in great shape. The layout can be a real challenge but overall I would recommend this course. The downside is the price, I was able to get a deal through Golf Now which made it a really great price.
Excellently maintained, very pretty course, excellent value.
Fun To Play
Course was in excellent condition. I am 61 and my wife is 59. The length of the course was fine for us. For a young player that bombs their drive this course might be a little too easy. Enjoyed the layout, and the rough wasn't to long to get me in trouble on wayward shots. Greens were a little slow compared to our home course. but rolled excellent. All ball marks were repaired and areas around greens were neat & trimmed. For a leisurely round of golf with my wife this was just the ticket. Played several other courses near Branson and they were tough on her, even from the ladies tees. My Wife enjoyed Pointe Royale as much as I did.
Mystic Creek Experience Stay & Play Package
As a local, I enjoy Pointe and think you got a good rate for such a course. Paying for a rider is very typical in resort areas that stay busy like Branson. Top of the Rock is $135 and has a $40 rider fee btw
