Great course, great time
Always a great time at Sycamore. 3 9's always makes it interesting, and the nature is great.
2021 looks like the year for Sycamore.
I’ve played This course for the past 10 years and this year seams to be the best thus far. I know it’s the beginning of the year, but the course is in great sharpe and the greens are fast as lightning.
I’m hoping it keeps up throughout the year and only gets better.
Getting a round in before the snow comes
Played the north course, 2 players with cart. Good challenging course with one tuff hole with crossing the river. Have played the South, it has more water crossings.
Other golfers were the worst
Other golfers were heavily intoxicated, slowing down play in front of us and having absolutely terrible people behind us, heckling us as we drove off a tee about the pace of play when there was no where to go. Would not return
Best local course
I love this course. I stopped playing for about 10 years and just started again a few months ago. 10 years ago, this was a very well maintained, decently challenging course. Nothing changed. I play there several times a week, and most of the staff knows me and are very friendly and accommodating. They have weekday specials Monday-Friday, and a season pass you can purchase which discounts your round every day. 3 separate 9 hole courses and 4 tee boxes per hole offers a challenge to players of all levels. There are ALOT of trees, so hit your drives straight or play your slice accordingly. Bring extra balls if you are playing in the fall, because you will easily lose a ball per hole in the fallen leaves. They have the groundskeepers out all the time trying to keep up with the leaves, but it is a battle to keep the course clear. The only negative thing I have to say isnt about the course, but occasionally you will get an oblivious group in front of you that dont understand the whole "let faster players play through" thing. I generally play alone, and it is extremely irritating when an incredibly slow 4some is in front of me and continues to slow me down. Not a negative reflection on the course, just an observation.
Amazing course for a great deal
This course was very well maintained you could tell the greens had recently been worked on but they were rolling very true even with the small scars. Honestly I couldn’t say anything bad about the course I just Wish I played it better.
Great course
Well maintained. Didn’t have to wait at any tee as I think everyone out there knew what they were doing to some extent. Overall would go back.
Favorite local course
This course plays short and is fun to play. Because it is short, a lot of people like to attack the par-5’s on their second shot which leads to some massive delays on the course. I can criticize the pace of play, but in general there have been so many novice golfers across all courses this season.
Like I said, very fun course layout. Facility are very nice. Great condition. Staff is friendly, I just wish there was a friendly way to make people lay up on the par 5s, just to advance the ball to get the groups behind them moving.
Excellent Quality
Staff does a great job at keep the course in good condition. Fun course to play. Popular course in the area so you can expect a little bit of wait time between holes. One of the best courses in macomb.
