About
Formerly known as the Players Club at St. Louis, Crescent Farms Golf Club has undergone more than just a name change with a major course renovation that included lengthening the fairways and reconstructing the bentgrass greens. The course has a parkland layout with mature trees lining the fairways and plenty of water coming into play throughout. There are also numerous strategically placed bunkers that appear along the greensides. Golfers will come across several risk-reward opportunities where good course management and accuracy are the key. One of Crescent Farms Golf Clubs toughest holes comes halfway through the golf course. The par-4 ninth hole begins with an intimidating tee shot protected by two fairway bunkers, a hazard to the left, and tall native grasses to the right. The challenges don't end there either, golfers are then faced with a second shot to a heavily bunkered, sloping double-tiered green.

The course layout is good and the conditions are good.
Course looks great.
This is one of my favorite courses is the St. Louis area. Great layout. It was really fun golfing and the course looks great. In the summer, the 10th-Tee grill is a great place to hang out.

Nice course, greens were a little slow

Rough was rough
First let me say I like this course very much. However, if you aren't an every shot on the fairway and greens golfer, it's not for you.
The rough was awful. Way too long and your ball is easily lost 3 feet off the fairway. Multiple holes balls were lost with 3 sets of eyes looking because the grass was high and very unforgiving.
A very recent aeration left it very muddy and unable to hit most quality shots out of the fringe and rough.
I do like the course set up and it was a beautiful day. Greens were in excellent shape but were hard to read one hole to the next.
Staff was great and carts were high quality. I enjoyed my round all in all.

Really taking good care of the course
Crescent had some major problems a 6-7 years ago, but they have done a great job making improvements to turf, drainage, etc and now it is in excellent shape. Fairways and tees are very good. They're doing a good job with the greens too, although they are frequently a little slow. If they ever figured out how to speed up the greens and still keep them nice/alive, this would be a phenomenal track because the layout is really good. The outdoor snack bar at the turn is a great addition.

Great value
Played this course on a Saturday for less than 25 bucks. Can't beat that, course was in great condition. Staff was very friendly as always. Pace of play was a little slow as we ran into 4 4somes, but that happens sometimes on a Saturday. Will probably go back more than a few times this year.

Good value but slow pace
Hot deal from golfnow for $24 was the motivation to play this unknown. Course was lush and yes, the greens were slow but consistent. Played on a Sunday and it was a 5 hour round.We will play it again and hopefully catch it when not so crowded.

Good fairways
Immaculate fairways and fair rough. Greens too slow and not on par with rest of course conditions which are great.

Good condition.
The tee boxes and fairways were in great shape. The greens were in good shape and rolled true but they were pretty slow. They seem to work hard on the greens to try to keep them in good shape . Great value.

Last minute booking on a Friday afternoon. Pace of play was very good, course in good condition, staff very friendly.

Value when priced right
Course layout from the right tees is sufficiently challenging. Greens are a bit too slow, especially after a rain. To be fair, it had rained hard for two days before the round, but the greens were like shag carpets. A good course to play when you can play it for $30 or less. Above $35, is stretching it.

What's not to like?
As a first time player at this course, I can't wait to return! The staff was very nice and answered any question we had. The layout and condition of the course was great and made for a challenging yet fun round of golf. Despite the course having a good number of players out, the pace of play couldn't have been any better.
I highly recommend this course to everyone!

Always wet
I really like this track. Good mixture of hard and easy holes. You have a couple of blind shots. Very enjoyable.
My only "but" is the course is always wet. The fairways are damp, there are puddles in the rough, tracks from carts ... I know they were trying to fix the issues. If they figure out the drainage issues, this course will not be the secret it seems to be now.

Fathers Day Round
Played this course for Fathers day. Course was in good condition, fairways were green and full. The greens were in great shape, pace of play was good for it being a beautiful day and fathers day. Driving range is short and cannot hit driver with out going over the net, putting green is in a perfect spot right behind the first tee box. Course does play tight in some sports.

They've brought it back!
I haven't played this course in a while because of the constant work they've been doing. The renovations are over. I will now go back a lot. The fairways were wonderful and the greens were in great shape. They played a little slow, but not by much. The sand traps were a little on the hard side, but very playable. They have done a great job on this course. The prices to play this course stands out as one of the best bargains in the city. If you haven't been in the last few years, it's time to give them another try.

Great Course
Great course in great condition. The parking lot was packed on a Sunday afternoon, but our foursome did not seemed rushed or had to wait. Staff was very professional.
